Relaxing getaway
We love the cozy house and the surrounding property. The stream running through is so nice. Our dog loves walking the property. The wind was pretty bad, so no fire, but we stayed inside and just relaxed. Although I did get some awesome naked tree pictures.

Cute Cabin
My husband, dog and I stayed for 3 days. The Owner was lovely and the cabin was nicely appointed. Our dog loved having a yard for chasing balls and investigating the Pacolet.

Lovely weekend getaway
We came up from Charlotte and spent a couple winter nights in this cozy and well stocked house. …Explored the area, met up with old friends, ate at some nice local spots and spent a relaxing evening playing games. Hope to return and next time bring our dog!

Awesome, quiet, relaxing setting on a trout stream with lots of shade and big trees. Great place to unwind. The property makes you smile. Plenty of chairs to sit enjoy a cup of coffee/tea/ glass of wine. Just happy be happy here. We will be back.

The house was clean and equipped with everything you would need for a few days stay. The check-in directions were clear and easy and communications with the owner were answered quickly. The property is located off a secondary road which is fairly quiet except for the occasional motorcycle. There is a nice stream running right through the back of the property which is really nice to listen to. There is alap a fire pit I. The back anlong the bank of the stream and the owner even provided firewood the fire pit which was a nice added touch. The small town of Tryon is a few minutes away and has a good pizzeria, coffee shop, deli and some hiking trails. My wife and I were looking for someplace quiet to relax for a day or two during our travels south that was also close to some trails to hike 10-12 miles daily. This property provided that and is dog friendly which is awesome! If you want quiet and aren’t looking for the downtown Asheville scene, I would recommend this place!

Has a charming lovely little place. Very clean, well labeled and comfortable.
The organization was great. Everything went well. Beds were very comfortable. Will be back. very pet friendly. One out door cat that is lovely lap warming Friend. And open space to sit by the river and drink my morning coffee. Just a fun place to hangout.

From the simple check in to communicating with the host who was closeby this was exactly the stay we hoped for. Quiet moments creekside, everything you could need or want provided, and plenty of love from her cats and dogs were included in our stay. Dellene is a terrific host who thought of everything and is environmentally conscious in her choices! We found just what we needed in her serene, comfortable home!

Absolutely wonderful!
This place was so, so wonderful! We stayed the two days after Christmas and the Christmas decor was still up and tastefully beautiful. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen. There were so many extras in the house you wanted to stay another week to try out all the bath salts, lotions, board games, the telescope(!!)...just too much to name. A BIG yard for the four legged family members. And there's a small river(or large creek) flowing in the backyard...such a nice, peaceful sound. Dellene lives close by and was able to help immediately if anything came up (nothing did come up but...) Thank you Dellene! For everything! We will most definitely be back!

We loved staying here and hated to leave. It was a nice and peaceful place to sit back and regroup. Right on the river, enjoyed the firepit at night. It was close to area attractions without being in the middle of all the commotion. I love all the extras that Dellene provided to make our stay comfortable. I give her 10 stars!

Dellene is a wonderful host. She went out of the way to make her place comfortable and homey. There is anything you'd ever need right there. We were able to walk our dogs on the property easily and on a warm day they could be outside on the deck with us because the deck has a gate. We really appreciated all Dellene's hard work making the place special and cute and comfortable.

The property was great. Heavily supplied with everything you may need. The river adjoining the property was peaceful and relaxing. The landscaping was top notch with lots of butterfly bushes and other beautiful flowers. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

It was a very pleasant experience
The location was perfect. Close to town and spots we wanted to visit. You could almost see the Arts and Crafts school from where we were. The wife picked up a very nice glass vase, one of the highlights of the trip for her. The house was more than we needed, but it was reasonably priced, very clean, right by the river. The host checked on us a couple of times, then left us alone. The only thing even remotely negative was the house was scented, and while it smelled very nice, it triggered my wife's allergies, but she was fine by the second night. We're talking about taking a whole week next spring. Thank You, Dellene.

Absolutely perfect!
We travel and stay in many many rental properties rarely do we find a true home. This property is perfect! Everything you need to stay for a year with charm and cozy running throughout. The property is at least an acre, private and the Picolate river runs behind it. From wonderful outdoor seating everywhere to a kitchen stocked with spices and everything you need. I would put this in my top 2 or 3 ever. Last but not least this host does not just welcome pets she LOVES your pets! Stuff animals and safe chew bones on site. If you are looking for a wonderful cottage anywhere within 2 hours of Tryon NC. Stay here!

Was a nice little house you stay in lots of thought was put into it and it had almost everything you needed onsite provided except for 2-3 things. The Main issue I had was it's the owners actual house and they hang out in the shed near the house and a camper about 400 feet away. she was a nice lady but it's a little awkward when you walk outside in the morning and the property owner and her dogs are walking around the yard doing menial chores. The property was very nice especially with the small river behind the house and the spacious yard but just kind of felt like you were constantly seeing her and didn't feel very private.

Weekend Anniversary Getaway
Very nice, clean and well stocked mountain house. Extremely clean with all the added extras anyone may need. High quality coffees, an assortment of teas, shampoo, body washes, lotions and spa items for a nice long tub bath. The master bed is very comfortable and has an extra mattress topper for added comfort. Both the den and master bedroom have nice size TVs with Netflix available which we enjoy. There is no central air but multiple window units which kept the house comfortable. We loved that this was a pet friendly VRBO. Our dogs enjoyed the large outdoor areas and stream that runs behind the property to play in. There are numerous very nice sitting areas all over the property including an awesome deck with beautifully cushioned and comfortable adirondack chairs. The property owner does stay on the property in a garage unit just a few hundred yards from the main house. We did see her twice while we were renting. The first time was when we were having our morning coffee on the deck. She did come onto the deck to let down an umbrella stating she wanted to put it down because of the wind. The other time was that afternoon when we returned from town. The property owner is a very lovely lady and has two very sweet dogs that played well with our two fur babies. We love property owners that love dogs and cats!!

Chill in the country...
This home has to be one of our favorites in the mountains. Perfect place to chill.. We especially loved the river in the back yard where we relaxed with all the sounds of nature...The home was very clean , comfortable and was decorated very nicely. Darlene was a wonderful host..
