"The location and views are amazing. Over looks lake Windermere and 10.mins in the car to Windermere on Bowness. The staff were lovely. The room lovely. Very comfortable bed. Loved the private hot tub. The Spa facilities really good. The outside spa is being updated so that was out of use which was a shame as the weather was so warm. Only criticisms were the shower cubicle tiles in our room weren't as clean as they should have been. However this was soon rectified once the staff were made aware. The sink made a gurggling sound after use for 5 mins or so but not major, and we would have liked black out curtains. It was dark but some light creeping in waking us up earlier than we would have liked They did offer us a free upgrade but we decided to stay in the room we had. As the upgrade was near the work being done on the spa and our room was lovely and quiet. Good job we took our own toiletries as they only provided 1 tiny tube shampoo and shower gel for 2 people for 2 nights. We did ask for more but none given. Think they forgot. For anyone with a mobility disability there are no lifts and not wheelchair friendly. Would have been useful to have had a fridge in the room to keep water cool and fresh. Breakfast was delicious and you could sit out overlooking the lake. Over all we had an amazing stay and we would definitely stay there again."

"A clean and spacious room with easy access and a super large and comfortable bed. Staff couldn't do more for us, really friendly and welcoming. Loved the open garden space, well maintained and was calm and peaceful. On Sunday morning, the hotel provided a bird of pray session, the guy taking the session was super knowledgeable - such a great added extra. Great sized car park, easily accessible. Breakfast was great quality, service was quick and offered everything we needed. Approx a 15/20 minute walk into Bowness, which was great for us as we didn't need to pay to park to visit the area. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to all."

"Outside is not much to look at but the interior is quite modern with a "boat house" feel to the restaurant. Room not the most spacious but adequate. Breakfast was excellent with wide buffet choice and good quality. Spa/ swimming pool is very good. Over priced for the level of accommodation but the Lakes location contributes to the pricing."

"Not so great bits - Considering the high price of the room, the room we were allocated was very small in comparison to the other rooms The English breakfast was sadly tasteless and we felt we were an inconvenience to the breakfast staff when waiting to be seated and ordering toast etc Parking is not on site (tight to enter and keypad is very low) charged at £25 per stay and only valid for 1 hour after checkout Good bits - great central location, room and bathroom was well equipped, maintained and very clean, the lounge area has lovely views across the lake"

Parking was fine and we were able to park late morning and then check in late afternoon and not try find parking in Bowness which was helpful. As anyone that had checked out that morning had gone.
