The house was perfect for our group of four couples. It was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay! The house was hard to find using Google maps on our phone. It took us across the road from where the house was. Our friends who used the Ford navigation on their truck had no problem. As other reviews mention, the well water isn’t the best so best to bring your own for drinking and coffee.
Pleasantly surprised by the convenient location, the roominess, and the amenities, especially being able to relax on the deck. The home was clean and stocked with what was needed for our stay.
Nice central location to ride trails or forest roads
Nice size driveway for multiple trucks and trailers.
House worked great for our group size of 7. There was plenty of room if you have a larger group then us.
The house was in an ideal location for us. Made traveling back and forth to the wedding venue and reception very easy.
The house was ideal for everyone in our party. The few troubles we had the host was very receptive and friendly. Helped us with work arounds for the situation we were having.
Would glad stay here again.
Property is not on the lake and the only spot we could find to access trout lake was at the campground. Not sure that is the correct place to go but never got a response back from owner about where to access the water. It is not in a secluded area - it is on the corner of a busier street and close to an active train track. House was clean for the most part. The water is very hard. We used bottled water for our food and coffee. The showers were not very good. It is outdated but you can see that in the pictures. There is a corner market in walking distance that was really everything you would need which was nice. Overall was an ok stay!
I gave this a 5 for almost everything - it was the perfect location for our family as my parents have a cabin about 5 miles outside Trout Lake. The rooms were adequate, the bathrooms were mostly good, but the tub was awkward to shower in as it was a handicapped tub with seat and door. It left very little room to actually stand. We did not mind the sulfur smell of the water - it reminded us of hot springs we have visited. There is only 1 a small window AC unit in one bedroom - it was fine for our stay as the weather was not hot, but the listing is a bit misleading there. We never tried to walk to the lake because we were not sure where there would actually be public access, but it was definitely across and down the street, not by the house. Overall, we would stay here again. Thank you for a pleasant property right where we needed it. 😊
Location was perfect for the UP attractions we wanted to see. House was very well stocked. Host was quick to respond for questions. The WiFi was not very reliable, it’s satellite so it was because of the weather and uncontrollable. A couple of the beds have uneven ware which made them not so comfortable. The TV in one room did not have sound but no big deal as we weren’t there to watch TV. Overall a very nice place to stay for value, location and courteous host.

Overall conditions
Our stay was excellent. Problems were, very low lighting in the kitchen. Floors needed mopping badley. Socks and feet became very black. Many large black ants in upstairs bathroom.
The property was great! Well stocked, centrally located, and spacious. There was just 3 of us so we had plenty of room and it was easy to travel everywhere we wanted to go!
Spotless home. Great attention to detail, nicely decorated. Check-in was seamless and owner quickly answers questions and concerns. Fridge, washer and dryer were in great order. Big kitchen. Water isn't bad but bottled water is best brought in. Only one room air conditioner is in the house, more need to be added because it's a large home. Fans located in each room. Reading lamps should be added in each room, only one in entire house. Larger mattresses should be replaced, they were very uncomfortable. The home is not on the water.

It worked very well for our group and we had a great time. Property was as described and well appointed for our time there. A/C would have been nice as it warm during the day, but being in the UP, it cooled down at night.
We wanted to visit various places in the UP and needed a central place to use as our base. This property in Trout Lake was perfect for our needs. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit and one central sleeping point.
Perfect for a snowmobile trip for a larger group. Room for 5 guys to all have beds, plenty of seating, convenient location on the edge of town a couple blocks from the trail. Room for 3 trucks with trailers to park.

Older home on a quiet corner lot. Slightly dated with a few updates in the bathrooms. Plenty of fans to stay cool on those hot summer nights. Could definitely use more lighting especially in the stair well. Beds definitely need to be updated as they were very ild and worn down. Garage access was appreciated since it also rained during our stay. The lake access is about a half mile away but not the easiest to get too. Driving is suggested. The train was nice to hear but was some distance away but did run daily. Not the easiest to find on my google maps but that could've just been my phone. The laundry room was nice and the kitchen and bath were stocked with essentials. There is a very small store around the corner but stock.is super limited. All is all not a terrible place to stay. A few upgrades and it wouldve been a 5 star rating.

We rented for a snowmobiling long weekend for 3 couples, and the place was perfect for that purpose. The issues we had were very small and insignificant (e.g., no basket in the coffee maker). I very much recommend this place, particularly for snowmobiling.
Property was clean and exactly what was expected. Plenty of room for my family along with enough dishes, towels, etc which is sometime a problem with a large family. Easy check in and out. I would definately recommend!
Quiet little town; nice family grocery. Rental house was actually nicer than we expected. Ate on bac
Comfortable for three couples. Liked outdoor sitting areas. Nice remodel on this older building.
Only suggestion: add mixing bowls & baking pans. No 8x8, 9x13, muffin tins.
The house has been renovated and is very cute and quaint. We liked the fact there were 2 bathrooms, one on each level. Only thing might improve on would be. Screens in the windows.
