Very nice & secluded property out on Frenchman Lake & not far from both Trout Lake the town & the lake. Also not far from other great inland lakes like Brevort & Twins.
This is one of the best places to stay. Great location. Really nice house and clean. Everyone in are group was very happy with everything. This is the second time we have stayed there and definitely will be going back. I would give 10 stars if possible.
Perfect home for a large family gathering - plenty of space to provide privacy for all as well as large common areas for meals and evening time.
Beautiful view of lake, lovely walking, and quiet time outside . This location was perfect for our needs
This was our 2nd time at the property and it was every bit as good as we remembered. Great space for families (or friends) to get together and enjoy a beautiful, quiet setting. The house is well equipped. The owners are very responsive to questions. Loved it and looking forward to visiting again in the future.
We enjoyed our stay on the UP. This home is beautifully updated on the inside. Plenty of room and rooms for our group. We enjoyed the quiet area, the stars outside at night and the peacefulness and beauty of the lake. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it for your group stay.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is the second year we’ve stayed here as it’s close to the trails for riding our side by sides. The house is well stocked, exceptionally clean, and in a beautiful location on Frenchman’s Lake. (Trout Lake is a great little burg to stay in - The Buckhorn Inn is a great place for food and drink.). Jeanne W has done a wonderful job making this home so comfortable that it’s like a home away from home. We will be back!
This home was perfect for our 4-generation group! It was roomy and had a large driveway/parking area for our trucks and trailers. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and the kitchen was nice and large so we weren't tripping over ourselves. We even spent a little time lounging around the "campfire" (even though we didn't light a fire) and the kids did a little fishing. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful home away from home!
This home was just fantastic, it was very clean and well supplied with essentials. The area was quiet and beautiful.
We were here with friends riding the trails with our SXS's gas was close by and many of the trails too.
We would love to come back in the future and would highly recommend staying here.
Thank you
Our family used this great property to have a weekend away with our extended family. It was great having all the 4 generations together. The house was big and spacious, we loved that it had several king and queen size beds. The owners were very responsive and helpful with all questions we had. Great house and great owners. Mike even brought fire wood everything for s'mores and candy for my children. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
We would definitely stay here again in the future.
We were in Trout Lake for a larger family reunion but decided to stay longer with our immediate family. The property was better than we had expected. The pictures looked nice, but the property was outstanding. Several large bedrooms, enough basic supplies to get us through the week. Everything was super clean. The lake view was perfect. The owners responded to emailed questions within minutes. We couldn't have hoped for a better stay than the one we had.
We had a great stay at this property. My 3 adult sisters, 3 spouses, 1 son, and our 93 year old mother stayed for 3 nights. We all slept great on the comfortable beds. We were centrally located to many U.P. attractions. My Mom enjoyed the lakeview through the picture window. The owner and manager responded quickly to my texts. The only issue unresolved was the sunroom ceiling fan and light fixture didn't work.
This home was impeccably clean! It was big enough for our family of 8 adults and we never felt on top of each other! The sunrises with all its natural surroundings were beautiful! We hiked at Tahqaumenon Falls, kayaked at Pictured Rock and biked at Mackinac Island! Great location and easy access to it all! The best part was at end of every active day, we settled in to an evening dinner followed by bonfire chats, laughs, singing and all the sounds of late night forrest and lakeside wildlife ! The starry night sky is truly remarkable too!! This house checked all the boxes for this trip!
The house was very spacious on a beautiful lake. There was plenty of space in each room that we didn't feel cramped - even on the rainy days. The kitchen was spacious with plenty of dishes. The 3 seasons room was great for the kids to play in on their own table! We brought kayaks and boats and spent a lot of time on the water. We especially enjoyed watching a loon family and multiple ducks and geese! The host was quick to respond to any questions and very kind. There was plenty of room to park and a yard large enough to play the yard games we brought along. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Frenchman Lake!
There were 5 couples in our group who stayed at this house. Each person had nothing but good things to say about the house, the property, and the area. The house was well stocked for any baking and cooking needs. There was an abundance of linens if needed. When we walked into the house for the first time we were very happy with how updated and how clean it was. The rooms were large and we never felt crowded. Kudos to Julie for how comfortable and how nice it was. Our plan when we return to the area is to stay right here!
We absolutely loved this house and property, it is clean, spacious, beautiful view of the lake, the house was well stocked will everything we needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. There were 10 adults and we never felt cramped. The laundry room was very nice for us to keep up on towels and misc item. The front porch was great for us to keep all of our gear organized. We were there riding SXS’s. We had plenty of parking with 2 full sized trucks with trailers, and a short bus with a trailer with a total of 5 SXS’s. The neighbor hood was great, neighbors were very polite. We will definitely stay at this property again…
Great Location to Tour the UP- Fits large group well
Took a vacation with extended family. Larger group with 3+ generations fit well within the house. 3 bathrooms and bedrooms at 2 ends of the house works well to allow people to spread out as needed- beds are comfortable. Large well stocked kitchen, large kitchen table and living room. Screened sunroom/porch was great for playing cards.
The house is large and clean. It has not been updated and has many older style finishes, but everything has been well maintained and in good working order. AC worked well on hot days, and heat worked well on cold nights. Appliances worked well.
Location is great: 1 day went about 1.5 hours to Sault St Marie and saw the locks, then swang back through lower Tahquamenon Falls for a hike around the island. 1 day went about 1.5 hours in other direction to Munising and Pictured Rock National Park. 1 day went 30 minutes a different direction to St Ignace to pickup the ferry to Mackinac Island. 1 day hung out at the house and rented a little fishing boat from Twin Cedar's resort on the same lake. Was pleasantly surprised by the "IGA" in town, it's no exactly a grocery store, but it can fill in the gaps as needed- and sells fishing licenses.
