Terrific house for a larger gathering of family and friends. Comfortable bedrooms and fun common spaces, including a huge pool/game room and an expansive deck. The small oceanside village of Trinidad is a real jewel, with a number of scenic beaches within walking or short driving distance. We especially enjoyed the beach immediately accessible by a short trail from the house. Some features of the house are a bit dated but this is far outweighed by the overall comfort, amenities, and location of this listing.
Beautiful, unique, large home! We loved the common areas, hot tub, location (close to national park and state park hikes) and path down to the beach. Highly recommend!
This was the second time renting this place for a family get together. We enjoy the close to town but secluded location. We love the beach access and tranquil creek sounds. It makes for a great location for our large family. One of our favorite places to stay on the north coast.
The property was as described and additionally had a lot of nice personal amenities that weren't expected (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, smore packs, lots of towels, etc) Stay was great - everything was functional and nice. Absolutely beautiful location!
7 of us took a family trip and stayed here and it was perfect! A woodsy oasis yet just feet from the beach and right in the middle of town. The house itself was clean, cozy and had plenty of space. I wish I could have stayed forever!
We enjoyed our stay in Trinidad! The house is tucked away in the woods with a short walk to the beach and minutes away from the store or dining options. We stayed here as we explored the redwoods. Our teens enjoyed their own space as well as the hot tub, pinball machine and pool table. I think it might be harder as a family with little kids with bedrooms spread out, but it worked for us.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything was wonderful, clean and spacious rooms. If we had to critique anything it would be to fix the potholes in the driveway, our cars did struggle getting back up the hill. We also suggest that the shower downstairs have a shower curtain over the window, when upstairs deck, you could see into the shower. Thank you for allowing us to stay in this home, it was a perfect fit for us, wish we could have stayed longer.
This place was perfect for my group. Lots of bedrooms and space to spread out. The only complaint was the hot tub.....the temperature was not turned up and only one set of jets worked. Other than that, everything was great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home was large and offered lots of space for our group to spread out. Comfortable rooms, well appointed kitchen, and the game room was huge hit! The outdoor space was spectacular and the deck and gardens were a serene place to have coffee in the morning and sip wine in the afternoon. The close proximity to the town and beach were an extra added bonus though I will say that hike back uphill from the beach is bit of a doozy! Still worth the hike to be able to enjoy the gorgeous and empty beach!
Our three-generation family group found plenty of space in this well-located home. We enjoyed the proximity to town and the nearby beach and we also visited Redwoods National Park. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the game room and the s'mores kits were a fun touch. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor deck space. Thanks for sharing this home. It can sometimes be difficult to find a home for a large family group so we were pleased to find this gem.
1950s-60s- or 70s--I"m not sure which decade, but it was Northern California vibes--mid century. Incredible yard, and just a five minute walk to a beautiful beach. Isolated but located in the center of town. A half hour drive to Redwood trails. A lovely respite.
Well stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner, and toilet paper. Much appreciated.
My sister and I grew up in Trinidad and there were a lot of elements to the property that brought back fond memories. Very quiet neighborhood with lush surroundings and short walk to the beach. The rooms are far enough apart that the light sleepers of our group and no issues with noises keeping them awake. Including the bedroom next the game room (- the pinball machine down stairs).
This house is a beautiful gem! I can't say enough about the location (in the trees, walking distance to gorgeous beach, walking distance to a great grocery store, 20 min from the Redwoods). The house is SO CUTE and eclectic! It has rooms and spaces for so many different activities - games, reading room, pool, and a HOT TUB!! I absolutely LOVED the kitchen which is the only reason why I cooked on vacation! We will be back!! It was FABULOUS!!
It's a large home with bedrooms, games, stairwells, and even a suite in a stand-alone building all over the place.
The driveway is tight and rough. But it does lead to a small trail and a private beach.
My big complaint would be the upstairs shower. Ick.
The town is small and interesting.
It is a great place to be to see the most of the multiple redwood parks.
We liked the home and it got the job done with a nice location in Trinidad, with a walking trail to the beach. We liked the game room too. Only complaints were the road to the house - and I never care about this, I don’t mind steep hilltop roads or unpaved roads, but the potholes were so huge the bottom of our rental car fender was scratched. This may end up costing us. The kitchen also really needed some additional utensils. It’s a great house but needs a bit of TLC.
There's a lot of good about this place but also a lot of bad. The good is that the place is spacious enough for a grown family of 10 and the management staff is very communicative. The cleanliness of this property though needs much work. In every room of the home there were cobwebs in every corner you could think of. It's normal to believe you're going to see a few spiders as we were in nature but not to this magnitude. My daughter woke up with two spiders right over her head, the bathroom we found a huge spider and on the ceiling of the bathroom were a multitude of baby spiders. In addition to this there is someone who remains on the property at all times. That part is fine however we felt like we were being babysat. If we got in the spa he was there right away to add something to the spa. If we were a little too loud he was there telling us to be quiet. It just didn't seem very reasonable for the amount of money paid for this place. Finally as I was there I got sick. I can't blame this place but in the detached King suite it stunk like bug spray the entire time we were there. I starteda feeling better after a bike ride that we took in the redwoods but I knew as soon as I went to bed that night it was possible things would reignite and sure enough they did. This could be due to climate change but I have a speculation that whatever I was inhaling in that room was making me sick. I would love to give this place more stars however I just can't do that as I will never return.

This property was in a great location. It was cozy, but with plenty of space for our whole family. We loved the game room and the kitchen was well-equipped. It was also very clean and the host communicated well.
Hello….we had a great time and love the house. A couple of things we wanted to make you aware of…the toilet seat in the downstairs bathroom is broken and the heater in the outside cottage will not shut off. Other than that another good stay at your house.
