Redwood springbreak
This was a return trip for us. We'd stayed at the raven house over 10 years ago before we had children. We brought them back for spring break to see the redwoods. It was so fun to come back. The house was even better with the addition of the hottub!

Cute cottage escape
Secluded and serene stay, off the beaten path and out of site from the road and neighboring properties. Right on the oceans doorstep, however no access to the water unfortunately. Beautiful view and everything you need for a comfortable get-away. Commanding sounds of the waves and peaceful bell of the harbor buoy in the distance. Ornate finish grade redwood interior and simple amenities to furnish the home. Wonderful place to visit for a taste of the Trinidad vibe.

Million dollar view
This was such an awesome trip. Trinidad is in a central location to many beautiful hikes. The raven house had the most beautiful view. That is what really makes this place so memorable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable. The upstairs bathroom could use a little love, but it was just fine for our needs. Be careful about locking the bottom lock on the door because it locks behind you. I unfortunately got locked out in my pajamas with no shoes or cell phone when my husband was at the gym. The host was very quick to respond and rescue me when my husband finally got back. Trinidad was very close and we enjoyed the pizza place and local cafe. Thank you for the awesome stay!

Bare basics
Property has a beautiful view of the water, very nice kitchen. Not many extras for the price. We would have appreciated extra, nicer bath towels, extra toilet paper and a couple of additional blankets for sitting out in the mornings. We also were not aware until after we booked that construction was going on next door from 9-5 each day. And while the view was great, there was no shade to escape it inside and the afternoon sun was very bright.

Really awesome property and views
This is one of the best spots we’ve stayed in through VRBO. Awesome location close to Trinidad with amazing views of the harbor. Really nice house, great 2 person hot tub, quiet road, nice windows and views, solid deck and seating areas. A couple things that could use an update to really hit the mark include: broken handle on main floor bathroom door, very dirty bathroom fans, and a really tight shower. That said, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Very nice place. Appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the space.

Both the home and the view were gorgeous! Good communication with rental managers, comfortable and well stocked home, cozy hot tub for two, convenient location just moments from Trinidad. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location
Great spot for a home base while visiting Prairie Creek Redwoods. Photos very accurate. Solid kitchen for meals, good wifi (even when no signal in town), amazing harbor views for watching the tides, birds, seals, crabbing boats. Best for just one couple, makes for a great romantic getaway. Note only parking for one vehicle.

Beautiful property with stunning views. All family in agreement nicest holiday rental we ever stayed in. Hope to make it back. My only gripe is why are we required to bring out rubbish, and strip linen and put with towels in machine. Should be covered in cleaning fee. We left the property very gently used and clean. Not in small part to our efforts.

Perfect getaway
It had been some time since we have been able to escape. The Raven House provided the perfect setting. Seclusion but minutes from stores and anything you need. With the waves lapping on the rocks, the hot tub provided the relaxation we were in search of. We’ll be back for another perfect getaway.

This is the PERFECT romantic getaway. We were astonished by the views, the sound of the ocean, and the relative ease of access for such a quiet, private property. We were sad to go!

Nice relaxing getaway with a beautiful view
This place was almost perfect. The view was incredible, location was perfect, home was clean and well stocked for what we needed. We had an amazing weekend, ate great food and relaxed soaking in the views from the hot tub. Only thing was during the wind storm, the flapper on the outside of the vent in the upstairs bathroom banged for hours. My boyfriend managed to sleep through it but I got up, fortunately I had that incredible view to admire while he slept. I’m sure it’s an easy fix and also sure the owners will take care of it. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Amazing view
Property was as advertised, a beautiful remote location that was very close to the options from the small town. Good options for eating out but the house was so well set up that we ate in all the time. Great for just the two of us, very cozy on a stormy day. Very nice to have 2 bathrooms. The house was very clean, kitchen had a great coffee pot, gas range, dishwasher, and all cooking utensils we needed. Upstairs bedroom with sliding glass door had the same amazing view of the harbor & fishing boats. Make sure you visit the pier (10 minutes) & Hooda Pt to watch the surfing (10 mins). We did have a challenge getting checked in, took over an hour for property managers to respond when we let them know they had provided an incorrect key code. Still gave the property a 5 overall, based on the cleanliness, convenience & beauty of the location.

Views
This cabin is well constructed, well engineered, well planned for the layout and comforts of home and, wow, the view is spectacular. Very cozy. Close to great restaurants and beaches. We sat in the hot tub during the day so we could take advantage of the view. I locked us out one afternoon but thankfully my husband had his cell phone. When I called in my sad story, they were very nice and had someone out in a few minutes to let us back in. We would rent this place again.

The Raven House is a beautiful spot from which to enjoy Humboldt County. The views are stunning. The set up is very comfortable and the attention to detail is evident. The heaters are very efficient! We’d highly recommend this property to a couple or small family.

What a special place to relax and unwind, watching and listening to the ocean waves from the comfort of a cozy cabin. Everything was perfect. Perfect spot for a little R&R
My husband and I spent 3 night, celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The house was amazing! It surpassed all our expectations! Beautiful mosaic designs throughout the home. We love to cook and had everything we needed to prep phenomenal meals. The views are breathtaking and the hot tub was a perfect addition. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing get away!

Incredible views. The sun and the moonlight glistening on the water. The waves crashing on the beach. The seals sunning on the rocks. The gulls squawking. Pelicans fishing. The otter and more. And those gorgeous sunsets. What a way to celebrate my Mom's 93rd birthday.

Great cabin by the ocean
The cabin was awesome! Perfect size for my husband and I. They really thought out the little details and marked everything in the cabin really well. The only small complaint is that the bed/pillows were super uncomfortable. Other than that it was a perfect cabin.

The house and views were amazing. It was the perfect size for us and our needs (little adventurous boy friendly). The kitchen had what we needed (the redwood slab island was a stunning and spacious workspace), the bed was comfortable, had room for our pack’n’play, and the fresh air was plentiful. The owner was helpful and responded quickly when we had some questions about parking. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. We were already planning our next stay before we left!

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything that we needed, and the two decks were even better than we had expected. My boys and I loved that we got to see seals sunbathing on the rocks below the cabin. This is a great place to get away to and relax.

Perfect honeymoon!
The Raven house had all that we needed! The views were incredible, the Sea Lions in the bay were amazing! Bed was comfy and couch was great. We loved that we could watch Game of Thrones on HBO! The house was meticulously clean. Such a wonderful location, it was close to town but nestled away so it felt like we were the only ones in the area. We had a fantastic time!

Relaxing and exploring
Raven House was a perfect base for a few days of Redwoods exploring and the hike around Trinidad Head was a nice bonus. Wonderful small town with essentials close by. The house is clean, gorgeous with a neat view of rocks, boats, waves & sky. Everything we needed was easy to find and the hot tub was ready to go. Sofa sleeper on the main level and bed upstairs comfortably slept our family of 4.

Northern CA Escape
Overall the home is nice and private. Listening to the waves break against th shore is very relaxing. We enjoyed the book with suggested hikes and chose a couple to do while we were in the area. The only reason I didn’t give the home a five is some of the furniture is slightly worn and not comfortable, There was also some mold in the upper corners of the bathroom upstairs, I am sure that is partially due to the humidity of the ocean. I would stay here again, it is the perfect size for 2.

The view! Warm cozy, everything we needed.
The private private road off the main road to get to property is, well, an adventure. My kids hummed the song to Indiana Jones The Temple of Doom every time we were on it. It’s ok, I didn’t feel unsafe. Not luxurious, but what we needed. Pull out bed is very uncomfortable. It has very little padding. The entry area outside is disappointing. Trash and not kept, but inside is decent. The view is spectacular but no beach access. We may look at other properties in town if we stay again. Fair for the price.
