Nice small place, good value.
The place is 1 mi down an unpaved road, so don't bring the Ferrari. It's fine for regular cars. Very few restaurants in the area, but there's a decent grocery store in town, and the kitchen is very well equipped. It's a good quiet place for two people with nearby access to the national park.

Quiet and Comfortable
This place was quiet and peaceful and comfortable. I especially loved the dog that hung around. Such a sweetie. I wanted to take her home. She looked like a Pit bull/English Bulldog mix. Loved her.
We loved the place and location . Very comfortable for 2 people .

Nice quiet location with a comfortable place for our stay.
The rental was very comfortable and nicely located between the Redwood National Park and the towns of Arcata and Trinidad. The unit was comfortable with good wifi and internet. The unit was clean and had extra amenities such as spices and cooking oil. It was nice to have decent knives versus typical rentals.
We had an issue with the refrigerator that was addressed immediately.
We had a nice stay.

Peaceful
We enjoyed the quiet and the sound of the creek behind the house. We were disappointed to find the caretaker that is over the privacy fence was a little too close for comfort, even though there is a privacy fence the house is right on top of the caretakers house... 2 of us there for 3 days, we had to buy more kuerig cups as they left us 7 for the 3 days... We are big coffee drinkers especially on vacation! The house looked like it hadn't been used in awhile (we are assuming because of COVID) there were a lot of cobwebs, but it was nice and cozy..

Not what we expected.
We arrived to no working water. There is barely cell service so coordinating to get help took time. Our stay was only two nights and we didn’t have time to spare for this. We were notified 1 day prior that there is no microwave and the groceries I bought were meant for reheating like that. The toaster in its place was broken. I suspect there is mold in the bathroom as there is no fan. Other Vacasa homes I’ve been in were better quality.

Disappointing
Arrived at 7pm to find ungloved/masked ladies hanging out in the kitchen. They rinsed the coffee cups out and put them back and left. All deck furn. broken. Broken foot board on bed (cut my leg)The entire home was ingulfed in cobwebbs. seats off the dinning chairs. Toilet seat broken(wife got a big surprise.home was not clean. we are very Disappointed and frankly felt ripped off.Several request for communication
When we called about shampoo and trash bags, Carim, the Vacasa rep was not friendly. She didn't specify if the items would be provided, she only said "I would note the account." After a 2nd call, we were told that these items were only provided initially. Even though the listing says they are provided throughout the stay. On the third day somebody brought all the items to the cabin. We chose this property with the intent to ride the provided bikes to the beach, but 1 of them had 2 flats and we were told it could not be fixed.
The gas grill was also not working and we had to cook the steaks inside.
Overall, the property was clean and serene. Close to the beach and the Redwoods National Park which was our destination.

great location lacking personal touch
This place has a great location close the Lagoon areas and not too far from the National Redwood Forest. The bed is very comfortable and soft. We stayed here for 8 days. We were given 2 towels and 2 roles of toilet paper for this stay. We were able to wash our own towels as there is a washer and dryer with soap provided, but it would have been nice to not have to do this as often. We bought our own toilet paper. The lawn was very tall and was not mowed until our last night. We had one issue while on property that was resolved quickly.
No screens on most windows and doors, so be aware bugs will come in if you need to open the windows or doors. It also looked as if the cleaning crew swept and then left piles of dust in the corners. Cob webs everywhere, seem to have been there for a long time. Gets bright in the sleeping area very early as the windows above the bed do not have coverings. Over all, not a bad place, just needs some attention. I think its obvious that the house is managed by a company and not the home owner. I text messaged the home owners and did not receive a response. Maybe they don't text? I would have given them this message instead of putting it here.

Lovely space
Lovely place to stay while enjoying the redwoods. I had no complaints other than some weird lighting (no vanity light and just some weird placement) and very dull knives.
The creek was very small and overgrown so don't expect much in that regard. You can hear it babbling away so that's wonderful.
Bed was very comfortable as was the seating.
My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights in this peaceful and rustic home. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with pans, skillets, utensils, etc. Murphy's Market in Trinidad is a short drive away to stock up on groceries. The location of the house is great for visiting Prairie Creek State Park. We went on some nice hikes there. It's also across the 101 from a beach, so we got some beautiful sunset pics. Elk are grazing in the morning and at dusk in a field as you enter the drive back to the house. The only negative is that there aren't any shades or black out curtains on the bedroom windows, so we couldn't sleep in as much as we would have liked to.

Cozy home in the woods
This place is perfect for 2 people. The living area and bedroom are one room but it is the perfect amount of space. The kitchen was well stocked and although we didn't use the grill or laundry room, it was nice to have that option. Would stay again!
Finding this rental turned in to a challenge since cell connection is pretty much nonexistent in this area. Mentioning easily recognized landmarks would certainly be helpful. Also forewarning guests that supplies need to be purchased ( I.e. groceries) before arriving because of scarcity of nearby market would be great. Rental was very private and quiet. Had a pleasant stay.

Perfect, peaceful retreat in the woods
This cabin is the perfect retreat for anyone looking for seclusion and comfort at night and exploring during the day. The cabin has all of the essentials for day by day living, and the upstairs bedroom and bathroom are spacious and cozy. The back deck is great for watching hummingbirds, ravens, and bats, not to mention the incredible view of the stars!
For exploring during the day, Trilluim Falls, the Drury Scenic Parkway, the Prairie Creek Redwoods, and the Humboldt Dry Lagoon are must-sees. If you get up early enough and drive out towards the highway, you can see elk in the pasture!
We visited from Florida for our honeymoon for 6 days and felt at home! We highly recommend!
Quiet location close to Redwood NP/State Park complexes
Great, quiet location suited us. Bunnies and quail were our companions morning and evening. House is one room down with bedroom and bath upstairs. It was equipped with basics - nothing fancy. For example: 2 bath towels, 1 mini soap bar, and "first college apartment" kind of kitchen gear. It worked for us making oatmeal and fruit breakfast, trail lunches and pre-made deli dishes with salad and veggies for dinner. If you are cooking for than that bring a sharp knife, oil and seasonings and any any more specialized kitchen items you might need. If you are eating out you may prefer something closer to restaurants. Pellet stove easily took the chill off in the mornings - until we ran out of pellets and were unable to move the 40 lb sacks stored in the shed to refill it. The kitchen floor is a bit uneven despite the newer plank flooring. The entry door scrubs the floor and soft spots around the table threw me off balance a bit.

This was a nice cozy house, about a mile off hwy 101. We enjoyed the remoteness of the house and the peaceful area next to the natural creek.

Great stay
This little cabin was at the south end of the Redwoods National and State parks, which stretch about an hour drive time up and down highway 101. As other posters mentioned, elk came to visit us in the yard our first morning, and we saw many more driving every day! Bed was comfortable. A nice place to stay.
