"Nice hotel about 15 mins walk from the river. On a main road and off the tourist area. Lovely staff, very helpful and booked us the speedboat to Cambodia along with hotel pick up. Room was nice and spacious. Comfortable bed."

"This was an amazing hotel up in the mountain. It's far from the city but well worth it because the hotel has everything you need. Most importantly it has the most amazing view of the rice fields, the city and the sunset is spectacular. Food in the restaurant was awesome and staff very friendly."

"Good and reasonably priced hotel that is just across the road from the port to get a boat to the islands. Love the taxi service and the free bicycles/scooters (small surcharge). May be a bit noisy early in the morning as it is located in the middle of a local market. The hotel could do better with the bedsheets as they’re way too thin. Will stay again."

"To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a hotel in a village like Chau doc, and I was super skeptical with my 2 American spoilt kids who expect nothing but the best. "Place overall is clean compared to other 2 star hotels we’ve stayed at. Interior design is relatively new and modern. There are a few rust spots on water faucets and shower. The knob in the shower even came off on my second day there. Breakfast is included every morning at the coffee shop connected. You get a complimentary cup of coffee (choose from cafe den or cafe sua da). Coffee shop is maintained by the receptionist as well. Just keep in mind this area is not central to all the restaurants but it is very close to the ferry to go to Phu Quoc and Hon Son. But getting a Grab is easy. "

Laundry service was also very quick and effortless. Overall quite impressed and would recommend to anyone staying in the Chau Doc area."

"This is a very clean property in a good area. One block from the river. The room was very spacious. Some music coming in from the outdoor venue opposite, but nothing problematic just be aware. Breakfast is available for five dollars with a nice selection. The hotel staff were very kind. When I didn’t arrive at a location that I was picking up a tour from on time they sent Ahmed to find me, and I jumped on the back of his motorbike, and apologized for being so tardy. The one thing I would mention is the room price was on my bill, and had I not checked my Expedia app. I may have paid for it twice, which would’ve been very frustrating. It’s a good hotel."

"There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it."
