Great cabin for family
My family (two adults and one teen and one pre-teen) spent 3 nights in the cabin. We loved the fire pit and spent time each night roasting s’mores and hanging out by the fire. Location is not far from Cloudland Canyon state park and Chattanooga. The town of Trenton is within 15 minutes- convenient to grocery store, a gym, restaurants and a coffee shop. We would love to stay again in the future.

Bugs
The cabin is nice. But it had bugs. Wasps inside also. The outside trash was running over when we got there.

Not cleaned??
We used this VRBO as a place for our friends to stay at the night before our wedding. The listing states it’s 15 from Cloudland canyon, but it’s actually closer to 25 minutes away which changed our wedding timeline last minute. The faucet in the kitchen sprays everywhere when turned on, the master bath sink/shower have trouble draining, and the trash cans were overflowing outside. When arrived, the code to the door didn’t open the door but we were able to get in because the door was already unlocked?? There were towels in the dryer that were not put away and dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. The coffee maker was molded on the inside and the creamer was lumpy. The TV was not functional and has trouble playing sound. We killed 4 cockroaches during a 2 night stay. We were extremely disappointed with our stay, especially it being our wedding destination. The host had minimal communication with us, but what communication we did have several months ago was okay.

Not quite what we expected but great location
We hit a snag accessing the property but the property manager resolved that quickly. The house itself was spacious and well equipped. Unfortunately there was no paddle boat. The kayak had no paddle but they brought one to us. The inside of the house was clean but the couch smelled like a wet dog. However the location was great with lots of access to hiking and the park. And we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at the nearby restaurants.

Labor Day weekend - disappointed.
Our family of 5, grandparents, kids and grandchild, rented the cabin for a 3 day stay over the Labor Day weekend to enjoy Chattanooga. The TN Aquarium, Childrens museum and restaurants were fantastic!! However, we were very disappointed, on our arrival to the cabin, how unkept it was!! The outside porch areas had not been cleaned for awhile. Cobwebs, dirt , grime on the tables and cushions. Trash bin on side of house overflowing and trash scattered on the ground. Inside the cabin, dirty towels were in the washer and dirty ( smelly) dishes in the dishwasher. The TV downstairs did not work, numerous items broken in Kitchen. The refrigerator leaked water which we cleaned up daily. No paddle boat, no option to grill - no gas , no grate in fire pit. We purchased broom / windex / paper towel and spent time cleaning.. The cabin is cute, beautiful scenery, caught some fish everyday!! The bedding was clean and bathrooms relatively clean. The owner had the trash taken away the next morning, but much more attention needs to be given to this cabin!!

Cozy home near local attractions
I was happy with the indoor areas and cleanliness, and kitchen utensils and supplies - as we did eat in most of the trip. Very disappointed with outdoors which I had looked forward to; patio furniture with the exception of back covered porch area not only hasn’t been cleaned recently but I would say for years. Trash around house, and in fire pit - someone left old socks for us, spiderwebs everywhere. I did see another review mentioning this but it was too late. If you aren’t into the outdoor areas you will be fine. Beds and pillows are comfortable. We visited Ruby Falls and downtown Chattanooga - around a 30 minute trip with traffic.

Didn’t stay
Due to an issue with the cleaner (not the owner’s fault) we did not stay at the property as it wasn’t clean when we arrived. Some furniture was in disrepair, but otherwise the house was fine.

Need extra cleaning. Alot of cobwebs, and some things need fixing. Like cabinet drawer front missing. Fridge door shelf bracket broken ( wouldn't stay on door). The area and house in general were wonderful. I would love to visit again. Thanks

I'll Never Forget This Wonderful Place
We loved this location, dubbed "Bass Cabin". One of my fav rentals ever. It's on a lake, but the rest of the lake has forest right to the edge, this property is the only yard down to the water. It had THREE beaver ponds on it, and we would see the busy beavers swimming to and fro. It has bass (caught one), pan fish, and two monsters about 30-34 inches that cruised at twilight and morning. The home was great, everything we needed, plus very nice appliances. We loved the old school video game console, it comes with 100's of games, every great game from Atari, Sega, Nintendo, arcades. You couldn't name a classic game it didn't have. Beds were nice, WIFI was good. I wish I had more days to stay there. It was conveniently located for us to enjoy Lookout Mountain, and get to Chattanooga, Rock City, Cloudland Canyon, Mentone, and the swimming holes at Chickamauga. House came equipped with a paddle boat and a child's kayak, which our granddaughters enjoyed. 5 minutes to a Dollar General for anything we needed. We loved sitting on the high deck, roasting marshmellows in the fire pit, or fishing in the lake. A terrific getaway.
