" Our first impression was very good as Sean gave us a lovely welcome and wished my husband Happy Birthday on arrival. Everywhere was spotless and we had a superb King Suite with great views of the estuary & mountains even in November! The restaurant was super-food & service. It was for a 60th but we will def revisit for a spa weekend in better weather."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all excellent and it felt welcoming from the moment we walked in. The decor in the lobby area was lovely. We used the spa every day and it was very good. It was nice it was open late and very easy to access. We were short of towels in our room but this was sorted very quickly. The hotel is excellently located, just a short walk to the castle. The only real downside was not being able to leave our car in the hotel car park for just an extra 30 mins after checkout. This is despite the fact that there were not very many guests (so few that they took individual orders for breakfast instead of the usual buffet). I've never known a hotel not allow this. This was a minor issue and we would absolutely stay here again."
