Beautiful Treetop Stay

Shanty Creek was beautiful and the condo was clean with comfortable beds! We loved the views and being able to walk to amenities on the property and the proximity to other day trip locations, i.e Kayaking in Bellaire, Torch Lake, Traverse City, Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island!Dale was great to work with and was attentive to texts with questions.

We enjoyed the condo it was very spacious and clean. The kitchen had lots of supplies so we didn’t need to run to the store for the basics. The thermostat being controlled off site was a bit of a struggle the condo temp didn’t regulate well the main floor got chilly when trying to cool down the upstairs. Thankfully there were movable fans and blankets to use. We loved the pool and beach access and being so close to Bellaire.

Fabulous Weekend

We absolutely loved our stay. The layout was great. Lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a couple breakfasts and we love the location. Nice walk to the Shanty bar or up to the Summit.

Great Stay For a Group & walking distance to Lakeview Hotel

Very spacious for a group, kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Great location with walking distance to lakeview hotel and the Shanty bar. Beautiful view!

Great ski weekend

This Condo was perfect for a family ski weekend. Lots of room on the first floor, wood-burning fireplace to make you feel cozy after a long day of skiing. Pool/hot tub just a short walk from the condo. Dale was great to communicate with. We would definitely come back.

Perfect for a Michigan getaway.

This location we perfect for my family. Plenty of comfortable sleeping areas, bathrooms, and other accommodations. Owner was very good with responding and helpful leading up to checking in. Very close to Bellaire which has plenty of locations to drink, eat, and get supplies. Great for all ages.

Golf weekend - annual trip

Annual golf trip with friends and decided to do Shanty Creek this year. Great experience. Location and amenities in condo and on premise are top notch. One thing to consider is that not many things are open in the area on Sunday so plan accordingly.

Shanty Creek

The condo has a great view out the back side. Big dinner room table for the whole family plus bar stools for the kitchen counter. This is the first condo that I have rented that was stocked with paper towel, toilet paper, tissues, bath soap, kitchen soap, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. Great location. Air conditioning wasn’t getting upstairs as much as Down. We had fans at least. Neighbors were smoking marijana which seemed to come thru the walls. Needs some updating but overall had a great time

Perfect Location!

The location is fantastic! Although skiing didn’t pan out for us this time, there was still plenty to do. We made use of the nearby hotel pool, resort restaurants (Sarducci’s Italian was a family favorite and seconds from our doorsteps), bowling was a few minutes away and downtown Bellaire was only a 10 minute drive. The kids enjoyed disc golfing at multiple spots including one course in our backyard. Had we skied it would have been short drive or we could have caught one of the many shuttles. The condo was very clean and easily fit our small group of 5 with plenty of extra space. The kitchen was well-equipped. The host was excellent at communicating throughout and responded quickly with the one issue we had. My only suggestion would be to bring some beach towels if you plan to use the resort pool, as they do not provide them there and there weren’t a lot of extras on site. Between the location and the cleanliness, we would definitely rent this condo again.

Summer Fun

The property and host are excellent. The kitchen was fully stocked. I recommend bringing paper plates, extra trash bags and paper towels for convenience. Some were available. We brought coffee, filters and own food. You might want to bring a blacktop if you have a big group. Livingroom and dining area is spacious. Furniture is clean and comfortable. The view from back deck is stunning. Laundry room available in condo. The master bedroom has a separate door to go outside as well as deck. Spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms upstairs are perfect too. The upstairs bathroom is small but worked out just fine! I would say this sleeps 10 if you want bedrooms but the pull out sofa was comfy! We played cornhole by loading area, went to both pools, hot tub, walks, live music on weekends.fun bars literally onsite. Checkin and communication was stellar!!

Decent place for a larger group

This is intended to be an honest review..... Upon arriving at the property we did have some maintenance issues which were addressed with the property manager. He was prompt at coming out the next morning to take care of our concerns. PROS: we needed three bedrooms for extended family. We did not want someone on a pull-out sleeper sofa. The rooms were nice enough - the lower level room has two queen beds and an attached bathroom. Upstairs rooms were decent. (shared bathroom is small). High end stacking washer and dryer and newer appliances. Both drip and Keurig coffee makers Smart TV's. Lovely view from the deck - newer chairs. CONS: dining table felt like a conference table from years gone by with very short commercial chairs . One of the two sofas may be beyond it's time - sat very low and soft (sleeper sofa sat great). While the place was very clean, it did feel dated in the common living/dining area. Description of amenities lists basic soaps and shampoo included. Only hand soap is provided. Cookware is very basic and some should be replaced - Hope this was helpful........

Fantastic condo with a great location, better then the photos show!

Myself and 2 other families all with young children had a fantastic time at this rental. The pictures do not do it justice, as I thought it was nicer in person. It is perfect for 3 separate families as there is one bedroom downstairs with 2 queen beds, one bedroom upstairs with one queen, and another room upstairs with 2 queens. Everyone had their own bathroom and although we were staying together it felt like we all had our private stay. There is a beautiful view from the window/balcony. The location was fantastic, literally steps away from a restaurant/bar that was family friendly, a playground, and a very short walk to the very nice outdoor and indoor pool in the main Shanty Creek resort. What was also lovely is that you get a beach pass to a beach club on Lake Bellaire where there are chairs, a playground, grills, volleyball net, pickleball net, and that had nice bathrooms as well. This was a short 5 minute drive away from the property. Parking was easy, there was always a spot right near the condo entrance. It felt very secure and safe. The full kitchen had everything you would need and the living room/dining room was great to gather together. Bellaire is a beautiful town and Shanty Creek is great, it offers a shuttle around the property to other sections too. Dale, the owner, was very responsive by text to all my questions. I would definitely stay at this condo again, it was a fantastic experience!

Multi-Generation Vacation at Shanty Creek

Fantastic Great room is large and comfy for movies, meals and games! Dining room table is great for meals and games! Back balcony overlooks beautiful scenery, deer, turkeys, birds, and squirrels! Fire pit behind the unit was overgrown, but with a little work we were able to enjoy sunset campfires. Firewood near the parking area. Lighter in the utensil drawer. There is a coffee maker AND a Keurig. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, blender, crock pot, coffee makers, cooking utensils, Corelle dishware, Corelle mugs, and glasses of all sizes. There is no plastic or unbreakable drinkware, so bring your own if you have little ones with you. The unit is well-stocked with board games and playing cards. The television erases your codes when you check out! Great idea! Local artwork is displayed throughout the condo. The owner provides you with passes to the outside pool, indoor pool and hot tub, and the Beach Club. Needs Attention The slats of the second-floor balcony, overlooking the great room, are not up to code. Children could fall through. The outside balcony furniture is rotted. We took caution when using it, placing pillows on the seats so they wouldn’t break through. Most of the plugs are behind large pieces of furniture, thus making it difficult to plug in items that require charging. WIFI can be iffy. The television in the bedroom would not turn on. The Welcome Book is falling apart. Some info is missing
