Perfect size and cleanliness. Loved the location. A short drive to downtown and the beach. Excellent restaurants, shops, winery, and coffee shop in walking distance. Highly recommend.
Our family of 4 loved staying at this loft condo located on the old state hospital grounds. Very clean, plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen, lots of parking nearby. Garage would be nice in the winter but we did not need it during our stay. Great location walkable to coffee, restaurants, shops on the grounds - quick bike ride or drive to downtown TC. We will definitely return for future stays!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Katy did a great job communicating with us. The place is clean and stocked well. Thank you for the bottle of wine. It did take us a few minutes to figure out how to get in garage. The key pad is not by the garage door but by the door to right. We figured it out though! I just love staying in that area so thank you
This property is located very close to the old
Michigan State Asylum. Don’t miss the tour of the property. Just check their website for tickets. We loved being so close to Traverse City for great dining experiences like Poppycock and Omelette Shoppe. The space was clean and quiet with most everything you need for a sweet stay, including free laundry a short distance from the unit. We slept well after our busy days, because there was no noise from the highway or from neighbors. Isn’t that the point?

Surprised by what we found
Overall was good however, the sheets in the smaller bedroom bed were unwashed and had a menstrual blood stain on them. YUCK!! We have pictures to document this finding. Kind of put a damper on the whole experience. This was a surprise as the unit was otherwise in very good condition and clean. We did have some small flies buzzing around as well in the bathroom and living room , two in number. Kinda doubt if we will be back , especially as they wanted to charge us an additional fee to check in only one hour earlier. Have never had a host attempt to do that before for just one hour .
The Commons Campus was beautiful, quaint & conveniently located. We enjoyed shopping in the little shops, and took advantage of the bakery, coffee shop, restaurants & wine tasting right within the complex! Would definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to see what else will be available once the rest of the buildings are restored!
The hosts for this condo-unit were fantastic to work with, attentive and want their guests to have a great experience. The 2 BR layout for the condo is very nice and furnished. I would stay there again!
The condo was very clean, neat, peaceful, close to so much to do, and stress free!

Interesting to learn the history of the asylum on a tour. This property is easy walking to coffee, food and shopping. And downtown Traverse City is a short drive. Quiet at night. Would stay here again!
From your service side of things you were great. Plenty of thoughtful amenities and info about the area. We also found the tour of the commons very interesting. Spend most of our time with good friends that live in the area. Just a couple notes about the condo: found the master bed a little uncomfortable, the flush valve for the toilet in the master stuck open a few times. We bought our own TV for the second bedroom for our son, would be nice to have even a small one in the living room. We had a great time and would look into staying there again. Thanks!
Stayed for 3 days for work. Condo was very clean, bed was very comfortable-close to everything -5 to 10 minutes away. Property manager very responsive to my questions. Would definitely book again!
If you’re looking for a spacious home base in a terrific location, this one’s for you. Bright, clean and well equipped, nicely decorated and just steps from everything from delicious coffees to multi course meals! And only a few minutes from downtown TC. Beautiful historical setting with all the modern must-haves. We’ll be back!
Spent a birthday weekend with my daughter and this unit was the perfect "home base" for our adventures. Aside from wandering The Village at Grand Traverse Commons (and taking the tour - which was fascinating), we enjoyed the shops and restaurants on the property and wandered around Boardman Lake, downtown TC and even Sutton's Bay. Our unit was well equipped and perfectly clean - would love to come back next year!
Spent long weekend with friends for my wifes birthday. Great location right accross parking lot from The Commons and all it has to offer. Outside patio great in evenings to sit and talk and have a drink. Inside is modern, clean and has everything you would need if you want to use kitchen. Inside parking was a great perk we didnt expect. There is a brewery just behind building and a winery, bakery, coffeeshop just across the street. Will definitely come back again!
Our stay at this Traverse City condo was absolutely perfect, earning it a well-deserved five stars! From the moment we arrived until we reluctantly departed, everything exceeded our expectations. The location was truly unbeatable. We loved being just a stone's throw away from an incredible array of restaurants, charming local shops, and delightful coffee spots. Exploring the vibrant downtown area was a breeze, and we were perfectly situated for easy access to the region's renowned wine tasting experiences. You simply can't ask for a better base to explore all that Traverse City has to offer.Inside, the condo itself was a dream. It was impeccably clean and beautifully updated, with modern finishes that made us feel right at home. The space is super efficient and incredibly well-appointed, providing absolutely everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From kitchen essentials to cozy furnishings, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Finally, the communication with the property manager was excellent. They were responsive, helpful, and ensured our check-in and check-out process was seamless. We would highly, highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting Traverse City and will definitely be back ourselves! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
This is a very nice condo and things are laid out well. Its location is handy for visiting various places in town. They could use more than one clothes hanger for the whole place!
