Vacation like a pro and learn where the locals go to have fun in and around the area from your superhosts. Our suite offers privacy, quality, prime location, and affordability in the heart of Traverse City.

Our private King suite includes a full bathroom, King bed, mini fridge, microwave, free wifi, flat screen tv, fireplace and more. Enjoy our spacious deck, use of grill, and flagstone fire pit for evening fires. Join us for happy hour on the patio and get the inside scoop on Traverse City from a local perspective.

Our suite is just 4 blocks from downtown Traverse City and 2 blocks to the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay, Bryant park beach. Conquer the traffic and parking by using our two complimentary bikes or enjoy a leisurely walk down historic Washington Street to shops and dining.

Important Notes: Bay Town Suite is a private guest space attached to our home, with its own entrance and no access to our living areas. Outdoor spaces and laundry are shared. We're Traverse City locals—your hosts—and our friendly dog, Yzie, may say hello!

Safe, warm, and cozy

I had a very enjoyable stay. I love Traverse City in the winter; it's so beautiful. Jody and Norm were amazing hosts, giving thought to every detail of the stay. The fireplace was a nice, inviting touch. Everything was modern and nicely decorated but had a homey feeling as well. I would highly recommend Hospitality by the Bay and would stay again when traveling to TC!

our suite was wonderfully set up and ready for us. Beautiful, clean facilities and comfortable couch and bed. Perfectly located to bike or walk downtown or drive up on Mission Peninsula. We definitely want to come back.

Great little studio with clean and fresh decor. Wonderful location! Would recommend more silverware and dishes that are actually microwaveable but overall, would definitely come back.

Fantastic stay at this gem in Traverse City! The owners clearly care about making sure everything is just right for those staying with them, attending to seemingly small things like providing detailed instructions about use of tv and thermostat, to the much bigger things like providing great recs for places to go and restaurants to try. The room itself is spacious and the bed so comfortable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Many thanks!

Felt Like Visiting Friends – Not Just a VRBO!

We had an amazing long weekend getaway in Traverse City and can’t say enough good things about our stay! From the moment we booked, Jody and Norm were phenomenal hosts—responsive, detailed, and genuinely welcoming. Their guest guidebook had everything we needed, and they even had the bikes ready a week early so we could enjoy a peaceful ride to breakfast.The home itself is charming, modern, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The location is ideal—just a few blocks from the social district and approximately a mile from Front Street, making it easy to enjoy local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. And if you're planning to visit the wineries on Old Mission Peninsula, it's a straight and scenic drive.A special shoutout to their sweet pup Yzie—she’ll become your best friend if you’re willing to toss the ball a few times! We even enjoyed a friendly evening spending time with Jody and Norm over a bottle of wine, just chatting and getting to know each other. They are truly wonderful people who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderful Place

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Newly renovated and is exactly how it looks in the pictures. Very comfortable King bed and sofa for relaxing. Lots of drawers for storage of clothes, etc. Nice mini fridge with small freezer, microwave, pod coffee maker, toaster and dishes. Beautiful bathroom with lots of counter space as well as drawers to store things and a great shower. Also the use of a washer and dryer was very helpful for us. They have a beautiful back deck and yard for relaxing as well. Izey, their pup, was a joy to hang out with in the yard. Jody and Norm were great hosts and very quick to respond to any questions about the place or the area. We would love to come back sometime but maybe not during the Cherry Festival.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

The renovations were perfectly done. The space is very clean, bright, and welcoming. Almost every exterior wall is covered with a window, so tons of natural light. The bed was comfortable! Only con was that the bicycles weren’t in working order. The tires were under inflated. We tried pumping them up, but it was uncomfortable because the owner was hawking over us…felt like we were doing something wrong but the book said we could use the air compressor. Just awkward. We were in a hurry expecting the bikes to be ready to go. Also, this isn’t necessarily a con, just depends on the person. But, if you are expecting privacy this isn’t the place for you. The suite entrance is through a back door and mud room. The owners use the same entrance and mud room. The suite is French glass doors, so zero sound barrier. And the owners leave the door into their kitchen wide open so you can hear everything. But, if you want someone who greets you with a hand shake, knocks on your door to ask how you’re doing, and engages in conversation, then this is the place for you. Jody is very friendly!

Nicel long weekend in TC

Everything was exactly as advertised. The property owner, Jodi, is very attentive and has even created a nice short video to assist with arrival. The unit is freshly decorated and very clean. The location is great - far enough out of downtown to escape the busy, but close enough to walk if you wanted.
