We chose this hotel for its proximity to the theaters of NYC which worked well. However, this is a bare bones hotel at best. Room was on the 12th floor and had very minimal amenities. The window air conditioner worked well and the bed was comfortable. Make sure you bring a sound machine to drown out the slamming of doors as people arrive and exit at all hours of night. Sound proofing between rooms was good, but you can hear everything that happens in the hallway. We chose a room in the rear of the hotel to avoid street noise, but didn't realize how quickly and loudly the doors close. The most annoying inconvenience was the fluctuating temperature in the shower which would intermittently lose pressure and occasionally just stop completely before resuming after a few seconds. Lots of food options around and the location worked well for us.

Location was great if you want to be near Times Square. Like most high rise hotels, waiting for the elevator for over 20 minutes every morning is annoying.

The Knickerbocker was wonderful! The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had! The room was clean, had complimentary water available each day, plenty of towels, and bathrobes! We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, Gania was our server and was very friendly and kind! The only real critique was there were no hangers on the wall for towels/umbrellas/wet raincoats. We stayed over the weekend where it rained every day and having a place that was not in the enclosed closet to hang our wet items would have been nice. But otherwise, I would highly recommend and stay again!

Overall, a very comfortable long-term stay for a business traveler. It has free laundry and some common spaces to have food, as well as a small kitchen and plenty of storage. The location is pretty good, five to ten minutes to go to the subway.
