Located in the Aguas Nuevas residential area, just a 6-minute drive from the beautiful La Mata Beach, a stunning and very large fine-sand beach that connects with Guardamar del Segura, offering 15 km of sandy coastline. The village of La Mata is small and full of Mediterranean charm. We recommend the beachfront restaurant La Mar de Bien in La Mata, perfect for excellent breakfasts and lovely dinners by the sea. Also highly recommended is the bakery and pastry shop on the main street of La Mata—try everything, sweet and savory, and enjoy delicious homemade flavors. We suggest going early to avoid queues.

If you enjoy walking routes, the La Mata Salt Flats route, with its beautiful natural pine park and wildlife, is also incredible. Walking the full loop is about 20 km, but don’t worry—there are shorter routes starting from 5 km.
