"We arrived at the property in the early evening after driving from Bari. It was already dark and when we arrived Vincenzo was waiting for us. All the lights we on around the property and the garden and instantly we felt a warmth and magic of the property. The villa is beautiful, with all the character of the old building preserved, but with modern conveniences. The beds are very comfortable – important to us!! The roof terrace is very private and the hut tub a bonus. The garden creates a wonderful backdrop to the property and is a credit to the gardener who maintains it!! Watching the sun go down across the sea in the distance adds to the atmosphere. The local area is packed with real Italian / Puglian charm and we found everyone friendly. Even though we stayed out of season, there were plenty of bars and restaurants open. The beaches and coast line is fantastic and at every turn it was different. Sand, rocks and cliffs all witing a short drive of the property. Car hire is absolutely essential. All in all - a great restful holiday that we will remember for a long time to come!
