"The room was clean, the only issue was that the floors (carpet) felt really grimy and almost damp but not in a “clean” way. The other room issue itself was that there were no extra linens for the pull out couch- which we needed and I had requested on my booking since I had 2 kids with me. Our biggest issues were with the hotel itself: We stayed on the second floor in room 210, we weren’t very close to the elevator but also not too far and we could hear the VERY loud dinging all night long. Another major problem, we stayed on the same floor as the Mississippi valley marching band (they were in town for Mardi Gras Parades) and all night long they were popping their heads out from their doors along the whole hallway to yell back and forth to each other. I confirmed this because I stepped out to see what the yelling was several times. They also used the elevator at all hours to travel to different friends on different floors, contributing to the excessive loud dinging of the elevator. The WORST part about the above, is that at 1-5am every night, the whole floor smelled of weed. I had 2 kids and an infant in my room and it was overtaking our room in a serious way. I had to roll towels and put them on the doorway to keep it from seeping in. We should not have paid to stay here and never will again. My 12 and 10y old asked me several times what that smell was… it was straight up weed. Unacceptable. "

"This place was literally a last minute decision. So glad we chose it!! The communication was wonderful, the host was wonderful, the room was well above our expectations. Very, very clean. The decor was perfect, it felt so much like a home!! The hot water was amazing! Steps from the beach. Would definitely stay again!! I could go on and on! 5 stars for sure!"
