For several years, this is one of the hotels I stay in when traveling to/from Florida each winter. This year I had bad experiences both coming down on Dec 30 2023 and returning Apr 1 2024. On Dec 30, it took three tries to finally get us into a room where the heating worked. The manager called me a couple of days later to apologize for the inconvenience and gave me some IHG Rewards points. This was a nice touch.
Coming home, there were multiple issues. I booked the hotel through Expedia and during check-in, I was told that Expedia did not provide my IHG Rewards number on the reservation. The front-desk person said he would look it up later and add it. When I checked out the next morning, I discovered it was NOT added.
When we checked into our room, the heating did not work (same problem as three months earlier). I called down to the front desk and the person came up and got it working. (Someone had turned off a switch on the part that plugs into the power outlet in the wall).
The next morning while walking down the stairs from the second floor I found that a guest had dropped garbage in the stairway and it hadn't been cleaned up yet.
When we went for breakfast, we discovered that the orange juice dispenser gave out plain water, there was no milk (so couldn't have cereal) and there was no kitchen attendant (didn't show up for work that day). I tried to make pancakes but the unit must have run out of the food input because it only made 1/4 of a pancake.
