"My stay at Route Inn was what I needed which was a place to stay for the few nights I visited with a friend who lives in the area. The hotel is a bit dated but the room was comfortable and I enjoyed the breakfast. "

"Excellent facilities, friendly service, quiet atmosphere. It was the perfect accommodation with the right mix of camping sensibility and the comfort of the hotel. My friend and I spent a lot of time in the accommodation and auxiliary facilities, as it was such a wonderful accommodation to just fall asleep and leave."

"Everything about the hotel was amazing. From the room layout and appearance to the bar and staff. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I come to Japan."

"Our goal for our trip to Japan was to hike Mount Fuji, but one of the unexpected highlights was our stay at the Kappo Ryokan Uoichi! Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time. The building is a 150-year-old restaurant, and the stay included a shared bedroom with eight futon beds, an adjacent family room, a private bathroom, and a shared onsen. "A fairly standard business hotel — perfectly serviceable but showing its age a bit. The room and facilities felt older, and cleanliness could have been a little better. Staff were friendly and polite, and the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with some great dining options close by. Overall fine for a short stay, but could use a bit of freshening up."

"The room is bigger than I expected and is pretty comfortable. I love that they provide free noodles at night, free probiotics drink in the morning and free ice cream from 3 pm to 1 am. There is a public bath on the top floor, which looks very clean and nice but I didn’t use. The hotel is about .4 miles from Kakegawa station and is a good place to stay for going to an event at Ecopa stadium/arena. "

"Nice clean modern property. Area around is tea growing. The hotel is in a convenient location to catch train ( Shinkansen) and for major roads, paid parking around property is very reasonable. Would recommend "
"Amazing staff, very handy location. I have to give the bed and pillow 1/10. Very uncomfortable for me. If you like a very hard bed you’ll like it. Buffet breakfast was a good start to the day and a small but very handy laundry in the basement. "
