Great stay at Jake’s bar. Location is right off M26, but surprisingly quiet. We were up to make some improvements on a newly acquired property and it was a great place to come back and rest and relax for the evening.

This rental was perfect for our group of friends for a fall side-by-side trip! Not only is it awesome that it is an old bar, but it was comfortably sized for 8 of us, and it had everything we needed to make meals and enjoy our stay. It is located right off the trails for easy access for trail riding or snowmobiling. We would definitely stay again!
This is the prefect place for our group of 4. Additional cots and lots of room allow for even more people. New for this year is a full-size fridge and very nice Keurig full pot or single coffee maker. I believe this was our sixth year staying at one of Vern's properties and, as always, we were fully satisfied.
We stayed with our 12 yo son and Jack Russell dog. It was really a unique place to stay. There were more amenities here than I have in my own house! We loved that it was so close to the snowmobile trail. We plan to come back with more friends next time. It’s tough to find an affordable place to stay with a dog these days.

The first impression was not impressive. The flower beds were all weeds. The entryway was cluttered with tools, wiring, and a part of a machine. Once we got into the house, at first glance, was pretty nice. The first bedroom had a piece of wood right above the bed holding up the ceiling tiles. Next room the carpet was ripped up and the sheets were dirty. The last bedroom was decent aside from all the miss matched molding on the walls. The sliding glass door did not lock but we did have a stick to put behind the door. Next, the area behind the bar (kitchen). There was a lot of open areas where things used to be when it was a bar. The worst, under the main countertops, was empty, very dirty and in some area's wires. A small child would be in trouble if they got under there. There were thick rubber mats that extended the length of the bar. Right in from of the sick was a weak spot. My son lifted the mat and there was a section of the floor that was very rotten. The main bathroom. Most of the floor tiles were broke with pieces missing. The shower curtain bottoms were orange with mildew. The ceiling above the shower was unfinished. The molding behind the door was scratched up by a dog. Ran out of water several times. In back yard, out the back door, was a pile of old construction wood. There was junk laying all about. For the 1847 we spent, we all agree we should get some kind of a refund. Too much was spent for the conditions we endured. Pix were deceiving
We had three families and there was room for all. Owner was super nice and had a ton of information about the area.
When you get there, remember it is a bar that was converted to a house. The pictures are spot on, but the bear mount over the door still made my daughter jump when we walked in, which I found hilarious.
Our group loved this place!
What a fun experience to stay at a "bar". As we traveled around the place and had a few outside it was interesting to learn of the bar from those that we had talked to or even those who had stopped by wondering if we were open! It was a little rough around the edges, but its a historic bar and what we had expected. And from what I gathered the property was in rough shape and is in the process of being restored. The owner was responsive to any questions that we had. Being that the trail is across the road I think it would be great for those that ride the trails. There is a great little store down the street for sandwiches, bakery items and such. We found that every place we went people were very friendly.
