If reliable air conditioning is important to you, I would not recommend staying here.We arrived to find the house around 80F because all of the A/C units were turned off. We were sweating as soon as we walked in, and despite following the host’s instructions, the mini-split system never worked properly. The upstairs bedroom repeatedly shut off, which also caused the living room and downstairs bedroom units to stop cooling. We had to restart the units multiple times throughout our stay, and we could never get the upstairs bedroom below 76F. The game room never cooled down at all, and most of the time it was cooler outside than it was inside the house.The heat affected our entire stay. Even after showering, we were still sweating inside. We only used the stove once because it made the house unbearable, and we grilled outside the next night because it was more comfortable outdoors. We would have loved to open the windows, but none of them had screens and there were mosquitoes everywhere.The game room also had a strong odor that smelled like marijuana, the carpet had visible pet hair and dirt, and the grill was dirty.The cabin looks beautiful in the listing, but for the price we paid (around 1,000), we expected a comfortable stay with working A/C. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience, and we would not stay here again.
