Lovely
Lovely remodeled old building in the center of town is safe and comfortable. Feels like a vacation just arriving there in the grand atrium. Rooms are large and tidy. Service is very nice. Pool wasn’t clean but it was too chilly to use anyway. It’s cold in the morning so breakfast, which is semi-al fresco involves coats but it’s a great spread with friendly service. WiFi was good in public areas but a little weak in the room- still ok though.

Downward spiral.
I’m so disheartened by Posada San Francisco’s supposed “renovation”. For more than 20 years, I have traveled to Tlaxcala for business with the hotel as my home away from home. Its serious wear and tear was offset by the charm of the equipales and dear staff. Being the only higher end destination in a flourishing city that has an extraordinary cultural draw, they had an opportunity to polish it off and expand its base. Instead, every detail—-from art to sinks to tasteless furnishings throughout—-was a disaster. Icing on the cake? A portable heater was brought into the room because the hotel system was so old they couldn’t find parts. The staff wasn’t representative of what the hospitality industry is working so hard to achieve in these booming travel economy. Perhaps the upstairs restaurant is a saving grace, but we didn’t have a chance to visit. I can only hope they read this review and tune the details that they missed during the full year shutdown during COVID. Perhaps hire a designer to highlight the architectural glory of what was once a lovely Tlaxcala retreat?

Really lovely hotel , we took advantage of the 2for 1 happy hour and ate in the restaurant- great food. So easy - car parking & English speaking receptionist. Breakfast.. spoilt for choice

Much more than just a hotel room. Large facility in the city center with abundant and great staff. I don't know of a better option in Tlaxcala. Normally they include a full breakfast is included but they said it wasn't included because it was booked through Orbitz. We did get the breakfast after I showed them that the hotel details said one was included. If you book directly you will certainly get a breakfast and it's very good. Make sure you get your breakfast ticket the day before from the front desk!

Great location, room could use a facelift
Location is amazing and the staff was very friendly. I was not very happy about the room, it just felt like it could use a facelift. Toilet was chipping and just looked unpleasant, the shower leaked water into the main area of the bathroom and towels were just stiff and rough. It was a double room and paid for extra guest but they only had two towels. We did get additional towels by the receptionist. BTW, the receptionist were very friendly and helpful.

Good choice in Tlaxcala
This is a good hotel with excellent location in a historic building with friendly staff. The only drawback is that we stayed on a Saturday night and they had a private event with super loud music that went on into the early hours of the morning. And the restaurant could be better.

Beautiful hotel, staff is very professional and polite. Loved that they have option for king bed.. Many hotels in Mexico only provide double beds. Very convenient to shops, restaurants, bars and 5 mins away from the bus depot in a car. Hotel is very clean.

El hotel es muy bonito, limpio, habitaciones y baño grande. El unico problema es que los sonidos entre habitaciones se pasan, iba con mi familia y enseguida nos toco una pareja joven que llego a las 6 am haciendo mucho ruido y otra cosas, fue incomodo sobre todo por que llevaba niños.

Excelente ubicación, hotel hermoso y limpio, personal atento y amable, desayuno buffet espectacular y delicioso, estacionamiento en la propiedad, todo te queda a pie. Alberca demasiado fría por lo cual no pudimos nadar, la cama solo tenía 2 almohadas (por lo general te dan 2 por persona), me hubiera gustado tener secadora de pelo en la habitación.

En general es un lugar muy agradable con una excelente ubicación y trato amable delcpersonal, sin embargo escuchas todo lo que ocurre en la otra habitación y cuando llueve encuentras goteras en cualquier lado.

Sin embargo la esperamos pronto y el acceso seria del lado del estacionamiento sobre Av. Vicente Guerrero ya que los artesanos los días sábado y domingo colocan sus puestos. Saludos cordiales.

Todo el personal súper amable y atento, excelente que tenga estacionamiento aún estando en la plaza principal,muy rico el buffet y restaurant casa 17,lo único que sugiero es más atención en la limpieza de las habitaciones ya que me la entregaron con el bote de basura con basura una araña en la pared ,la funda de almohada sucia, teniendo que llamar para que me arreglaran estos detalles al día siguiente tuve que ir a solicitar papel higiénico y en general esto hace que al menos en lo particular me genere dudas en cuanto a la higiene y limpieza del lugar donde me estoy alojando, fuera de ello se destaca como mencioné el trato de todo el personal

El desayuno es de lo mejor, muchas opciones para diferentes gustos, desde hot cakes y omelette hasta comida tradicional mexicana y muy buena!! La atención de los meseros fue excelente! Los cuartos limpios y adecuados Como recomendación mejorar la atención en recepción, las chicas desde las llamadas hasta en persona son apáticas recuerden que son la cara del hotel necesitan entrenamiento en atención al cliente.
