"Camp Oxbow is ideally located, a reasonable distance to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid but on the less trafficked and just as scenic Rainbow Lake. The cabin has carefully preserved much of the original log cabin but offers comfortable accommodations and modern conveniences. With 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths it can work for various numbers of guests. There are stairs to the cabin as well as from the cabin to the lake but they are illuminated. We found the week after Labor Day week to be an excellent choice, pleasant temperatures and quiet. We literally had the lake to ourselves for kayaking."

"Susan’s cabin was the perfect anniversary getaway we were hoping for. It was welcoming and cozy and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It was unbelievably quiet and peaceful, easy to find, and there’s a convenience store five minutes away with live bait that we visited to fish off the private dock. Susan was also very responsive, and we appreciated the local waterfall recommendation! We can’t wait to stay again!"
