The house itself was good, even though it is very small. Kitchen had everything we needed. Was nice to sit on the back deck and enjoy the water. Location isn't great, but we spent most of our time across the river in Wheeling.

It was a great place to just relax and watch the water. Everything you needed for a quiet place to unwind. Extra toothbrushes were provided if you needed them with other bathroom products, plenty of towels for two, lots of cooking options. (Also, it is not the house with the carport, it is further back from the road than I realized and tried to get into another BnB/Vrbo before I realized I was at the wrong one)

Quaint little place

My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway…hiking and biking. This place was cozy, clean and the deck out back overlooking the Ohio River was very relaxing…although the evenings got chilly. Centrally located for all we wanted to do. Highly recommend staying here and also recommend the Belmont Brewerks for drinks and dinner.

Relaxing Time at the Cottage

Enjoyed the quaint little cottage on the River. Close to Wheeling and local winery which we enjoy. Clean and welcoming atmosphere in the cottage and the host was friendly and we had good communication. Pizza Express is just down the road for takeout and we liked their fresh homemade dough.Overall a nice experience at this location.

98th Birthday party

Our family needed a simple and safe place to stay for my father in laws birthday. This place was warm, cozy and had everything we needed. Even though it was cold and rainy, we had a beautiful view of the river and West Virginia! We would definitely stay again when in the area!!

If you are looking for party central this not the place. If you want peace in a warm, cozy environment, this is the place! This was our 3rd year back and it is the perfect reset from the stress of everyday life. Sit inside or outside on the expansive deck and wstch the barges go by. We will return!

Perfect Couple Getaway

Cute and cozy cottage that is perfect for two people. The Ohio was running high and fast and almost mesmerizing to watch. Nice little town good for walking. Appreciated the Keurig and well stocked kitchen. Super comfy bed. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Very nice, always clean property and convenience nice, like the cookware when it was needed, could hook my speakers to tv wireless, enjoyed the exprience surrounding the area (was quiet), seen many stars on the patio, do to winter wish i could fish from the patio (do to the season), owner was qwite the host to sponser this cottage, will miss it hopefully would return these future days.

The area around the property is not luxurious by any means but that does not matter because your attention is on what is outside the expansive windows and the huge deck- the Ohio river! This little cabin is a gem. This was our second stay and we are already planning to go back. Wheeling W. Virginia is just a short drive away and there is a lot to do there if you wish - hint, a restaurant called Later Alligator is well worth a visit or two.

Such a cute little cottage on the Ohio River. Listing was exactly as described. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook Easter dinner. I loved all the cute decor! The deck was amazing to sit and watch the action on the river. My other favorite thing was all the board games!! We will definitely stay again!

Great little cottage on the Ohio River

The White Cottage is a great space for enjoying the river, the tug boats, and the geese. Really found the property to be quiet even though it sits behind a duplex in front. We weren't able to enjoy the deck due to the winter temps, but really enjoyed having the blinds open and seeing the water and WV hills. Would recommend.
