About this property

The Lightbox - Oceanside Views of Three Arch Rocks

  • Summary:

At The Lightbox, broad windows frame the Pacific and Three Arch Rocks from a hillside above Oceanside. Three bedrooms and an open King loft accommodate nine guests, with a bunk room giving younger travelers their own space. Gather in the view-filled living areas, light the wood-burning fireplace, or step onto the ocean-facing balcony as the weather moves across the coast. Oceanside Beach and Cape Meares are a short drive away.

    The Space:

The Lightbox earns its name through windows that pull the sky, ocean, and Three Arch Rocks into the property. Set across multiple levels on an Oceanside hillside, the home changes perspective as guests move between its gathering spaces, bedrooms, loft, and balcony.

The main living area places the Pacific at the center of the room. Large windows fill the space with changing coastal light, while the wood-burning fireplace gives the group a place to settle during cool or rainy evenings. The kitchen and dining area support meals at the property without stepping away from the view.

    Ocean-facing balcony

The balcony opens toward the coastline and Three Arch Rocks. It is a place for coffee, sunset, or watching fog, rain, and sunlight move across the water.

    Sleeping arrangements

The Lightbox accommodates up to nine guests across three enclosed bedrooms and an open loft:

    First bedroom: Queen bed

    Second bedroom: Double bed

Third bedroom: Three Twin beds, including a Twin bunk bed and separate Twin bed

    Open loft: King bed

Two full bathrooms serve the property.

The King sleeping area is a loft rather than an enclosed bedroom. Its open layout and elevated position preserve the light and ocean outlook but provide less sound and visual privacy than a conventional bedroom.

A dedicated washer and dryer support beach days and longer stays.

    Guest Access:

Guests have private use of The Lightbox, including the three bedrooms, open loft, two bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining spaces, ocean-facing balcony, laundry, and wood-burning fireplace.

The property is built across multiple levels and requires the use of interior and exterior stairs. Guests should review this arrangement before booking if anyone in the group has limited mobility.

Self-guided arrival information, parking details, and access instructions are provided before check-in through your Arrival Getaways Boarding Pass.

    The Neighborhood:

The Lightbox overlooks the Pacific from Oceanside, a small coastal community west of Tillamook. Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge sits offshore, creating the defining view from the property and beach.

Oceanside Beach offers sand, tide pools, sea stacks, and access to the tunnel through Maxwell Point when conditions permit. Tides and ocean conditions determine whether areas beyond the tunnel can be reached safely.

Cape Meares is a short drive away, with a lighthouse, forest trails, coastal viewpoints, and the Octopus Tree. Tillamook provides restaurants, groceries, breweries, shops, and the Tillamook Creamery.

    Getting Around:

A vehicle is recommended for reaching Oceanside Beach, Cape Meares, Tillamook, trailheads, restaurants, groceries, and other destinations along the Oregon Coast.

Roads around Oceanside may be steep, winding, wet, foggy, or dark after sunset. Guests should allow extra travel time and use care during changing weather.

Your Arrival Getaways Boarding Pass includes our Transportation Guidebook with arrival information, parking guidance, scenic routes, and local recommendations.

    Other Things to Note:

    Occupancy

The Lightbox accommodates no more than nine registered guests.

    Multi-level property

The home includes interior and exterior stairs. The King bed is located in an open loft and does not provide the same sound or visual privacy as an enclosed bedroom.

    Bunk room

The third bedroom contains a Twin bunk bed and a separate Twin bed. Children must be supervised when using the upper bunk.

    Balcony

Children must be supervised on the balcony and near stairs. Furniture should not be moved against the railing.

    Wood-burning fireplace

Guests must follow the posted fireplace instructions and use only approved firewood. Never leave a fire unattended. Availability of stored firewood may vary.

    Electric vehicle charging

An EV charger is available at the property. Guests should confirm compatibility before arrival and bring any adapter required for their vehicle.

    Pets

Pets are not permitted at this property.

    Coastal weather

Weather can change throughout the day in Oceanside. Wind, rain, fog, and cool temperatures are possible in every season and may limit views at times.

    Beach, tide, and tunnel conditions

Ocean conditions can change without warning. Access through the Maxwell Point tunnel and to beaches beyond depends on tides and surf conditions. Guests should observe posted guidance, check conditions before exploring, and remain alert for waves, currents, tides, cliffs, and driftwood.

    Natural setting

The coastal hillside brings wildlife, insects, falling needles, leaves, moisture, and other natural conditions to the property.

    Community setting

Parties and events are not permitted. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep noise at a considerate level and respect neighboring properties throughout your stay.
