Peaceful river stay
This was our second stay at this lovely house on the river. We had 6 adults plus our dogs, so we were thrilled to find a place to accommodate such a large group. Enjoyed the front porch overlooking the river, which was big enough for all of us to use at once, and made use of the back patio with grill. Many charming antiques throughout the house and a beautiful (and large) hand made dining room table. We brought several kayaks and really enjoyed the river. Lisa was the best - very quick to reply to questions and offer helpful suggestions. Wish we could have stayed longer!

vacation 2023
We had a group of 8 individuals ranging in age from 8-60. We loved the view of the river from the front porch, and the convenient grill and patio in the back of the house for dinner. We enjoyed fishing and canoeing during the day, and the livingroom had plenty of space for our group to stretch out and watch TV in the evening. The youngest members of our group enjoyed the patio full of games and toys. We found everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen and the bathrooms were well stocked. Thank you, Lisa.

Allegheny River Retreat
Nicely maintained historic home on the Allegheny River. Enjoy a campfire, a game of corn hole, or rocking in a swing on the front porch. The home has a generously equipped kitchen and nice dining room. There home is spacious and clean, and the bedrooms are comfortable. There is a busy road out front, so carefully cross to enjoy the river. There is a nice gravel bar for fishing and skipping stones. The home is conveniently located to enjoy river sports and great hiking.

Great house for a weekend getaway
Unique and quaint house on the Allegheny River... had all of the amenities needed for a nice enjoyable and relaxing trip. My favorite part of the house is the front porch with the swing. Also, a nice back patio with an AWESOME grill, comfortable table, & games. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, kitchen has everything you need too. Lisa is a great host and made sure that we had everything we needed to make the best of our weekend.

Fabolous fall family and friends getaway at the Bonnie Brae
This is the first time our "crew" had ever been to this area! It was a PERFECT weekend weather wise! We booked the Bonnie Brae in late spring in hopes of discovering a new area to enjoy fall! Working with Lisa was a great experience! She provided quick answers to any questions we had! We completely enjoyed the old antique setting of the house! The minute you stepped into the kitchen you felt a calming and relaxing sense of home away from home! Lisa had the house/kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils and linen needs! WE are already looking as to when we can make our schedules all work to return next fall! THANK YOU... THANK YOU.... THANK YOU LISA for sharing your pride and joy with other nature and antique lovers!!!

Golf friends
We all enjoyed our stay, a sweet and charming home that was comfortable. The only regret was that the weather was cool (we were sure it would be) and we were not able to make use of the enclosed patio or the front porch swing ( Al rough I did sit on it for a little while. All good!

Good view of river and boat launch
The bedrooms are spacious. The outside seating and fire pit huge selling point. Unexpected bonus- an ice maker. Very old farmhouse with lots of antiques, some probably over 100 years old. It is spring/well water and septic that might be new to some guests.

Kayak Weekend
Lisa's house was perfect for our group of friends to stay for a long weekend and kayak. The bedrooms were very large and roomy and clean. Lisa did an amazing job of decorating the house and it had everything you could need. We enjoyed our nights out by the fire making smores and enjoying the peaceful area. The river is across the street and has very easy access for kayaking or fishing. We all are looking forward to staying here again next year.

Family reunion
My adult siblings and I were looking for a place to gather from our different states, and just be able to spend time together. We selected the area because we grew up camping nearby and it is a special area for us. We selected this house because it seemed to meet all of our needs for a larger group of adults! First off, 4 queen bedrooms and 1 more room with twin beds - it fit us all! And after that, the house is just lovely. We spent the mornings sitting on the porch swing and rockers watching the river, and the evenings gathered around the fire pit. The bedrooms were comfortable. The dining room table was large enough. The kitchen was fantastic, with all the amenities and plenty of room. The decor just made us feel at home.
