"This property is very unique. It’s not a fancy boutique property. It is a quirky, nostalgic and fun property. The lobby reminds me of being in an antique treasure trove. The host/owner is so nice and accommodating. We felt very much like we mattered. It is not only dog friendly, but welcomed. The free breakfast was good, homeade barley biscuits and gravy, he even made eggs fresh for my husband. Coffee, juices and waffles. The rooms are older but clean and homey. It’s unique in that the room has an entry door to the parking lot as well as a door to the hallway that leads to the lobby. Which came in handy to grabbing the breakfast and coffee. And then also handy in running out to the car. The location is absolutely perfect. Downtown is within walking distance and the river is also within walking distance. We stayed for 3 nights. I would definitely return to stay here."

"Beautiful big trees look down to the lovely lake. Good for the soul . A very quiet place-a true retreat.The house is clean and comfortable, cozy as the days get cooler. Well equipped.Joan is a gracious host!Special mention to the new dock and careful keeping of the kayaks and canoe—easy access to the rest of the lake. We love it!"

"It’s a cute coastal home tucked at the end of the street. We had some trouble with the lock but found work around pretty quickly with the host help. Definitely is a dog friendly house. Close to the beach and that is all we wanted."
