"This hotel is very much a boutique hotel. No elevator or air conditioning but still a very nice and clean room. The decor is shabby chic and bedding is comfortable. The included breakfast is not as much as we have had at other hotels during this trip but a quick yogurt and coffee and croissant does the trick. The staff was very friendly and even took our bags up to our room for us. FYI the parking is not real sat either which was nice."

"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. "Very good location, at least for our room for 4 adults. Suitable for family. The price is a little bit expensive but it is to be expected of Switzerland. The communication is a little bit hard as there is no reveeption, but aside from that everything is perfect"

"My fiancé and I didn’t know where to stay…looked in Interlaken and thank goodness we didn’t stay in that busy area! This hotel was an absolute DREAM! We loved the private swimming area, smaller quaint town, all while being close to the big attractions. The area just moved slower, we could walk everywhere and the hotel breakfast / gym was amazing. "It’s very clear that the hotel’s primary focus is to make guests feel as relaxed and as comfortable as possible, and they succeed on all fronts. The lakefront view is so worth it. It’s an experience I don’t think I would’ve been able to get elsewhere. It’s calm, quiet and allows you to slow down and really take in the lake’s serenity, rather than it feeling like a brief stop on a tour. The building is great. The food was great. The staff were helpful and kind. The location is easily accessible by car or a 10 minute bus ride. I was able to walk up the hillside to the nice village and get a good view of the lake with a good bit of exercise. I would happily stay again."

"Great location in Spiez. It’s about a 7 min walk from the train station. This is a small hotel with basic rooms. I would recommend staying in a lake view room. The “comfort” room I stayed in faced the street which can be loud. Fortunately, the windows really help block the outside noise. This hotel does not have AC so I wouldn’t recommend staying here during the warm weather months. The terrace has a great view of the lake and it was nice to have breakfast there. FYI, there’s a shared small fridge in the hallway."

"The hotel was great. Our room was good. A bit hot due to the heat wave, but 3 good twin beds. It was up on the third floor which meant we had to go up a few flights of stairs with our baggage, not really a big deal. Ceiling was really low in the bathroom for tall people, my son couldn’t stand up. The staff that helped us check in were really nice and helpful. Good location with parking right across the road."

"The reception was very friendly and helpful. Everything was explained very well. By contrast, the breakfast service in the morning was a bit on the curt side, no explanations, do it yourself. The breakfast buffet, by contrast was well appointed, very satisfactory. The room had everything necessary with one exception: no USB connectivity anywhere. The only electrical connectivity are the Swiss 3 pole plug-ins. There are a number of them but most in places where there is no room to set down a computer. Fortunately, I carry my own plugs, but that should be remedied."
