Strand Noordwijk aan Zee
Vuurtoren van Noordwijk (ZH) Het eerste licht aan het strand van Noordwijk stamt al uit 1444, maar pas in de 19de eeuw werd de eerste houten vuurtoren gebouwd. De huidige, witte, karakteristieke vuurtoren op de Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard stamt uit 1921. Deze toren heeft 6 verdiepingen, telt 108 treden, heeft een lichthoogte van ruim 33 meter en is gemaakt van baksteen en gewapend beton. De vuurtoren kan maar zelden worden beklommen - met uitzondering van bijvoorbeeld Open Monumentendag - maar ook van buitenaf is hij zeker een bezoeken waard. #architecture
