This waterfall, in Herzegovina region, was one of my favorite places to visit on that Summer holiday. The lush beauty was breathtaking and peaceful. I didn't have much time there but I'd love to return someday!

Looking at this town it is hard to believe that this ethnically integrated crossroad settlement became a victim to politics that managed to divide the entire town along the length of the river with the Croats and Bosnian Muslims each living on either side of the Stari Most with separate lives and minimal integration.

Vijećnica is located in the city of Sarajevo. It was designed in 1891 by the Czech architect Karel Pařík, but criticisms by the minister, Baron Benjamin Kallay, caused him to stop working on the project. It was initially the largest and most representative building of the Austro-Hungarian period in Sarajevo and served as the city hall. The building was reopened on the May 9, 2014.
