The location is great and the hotel staff is welcoming. It’s more run down than advertising videos show. Housekeeping was short staffed one day but we were ok with that and just asked for a couple of towels and received it right away.
Honny and Sim at the front desk were extra helpful and wonderful in helping when our key entry needed a reboot and when we needed a taxi reserved for the airport. Super quick service!
The cafe right next door was perfect for breakfast.
The short walk to Darling Harbor was safe and easy! Our best meal was at Nick’s near the water. Went to Sea Life which is also at Darling Harbor. We also easily walked to QVB and shops, and Chinatown for a variety of Asian food.

Excellent service, wonderful location, the view from the bar is outstanding. Room very comfy and clean. Walking distance from different eating places at the rocks, close to circular quay, we enjoyed our stay!!!

This is our second stay here and will stay again next time we visit Sydney. Staff, cleanliness and location is brilliant. My only constructive comment is that the rooms now need to be updated. The one we stayed in, 826, had everything we needed but it just needs a refresh to modernise it. Shower ...

Quay West has the most fantastic views and was a very comfortable stay. However, a few items were a little dated and needed some maintenance work such as the taps (some did not work) and the dish washer. Overall however it is a great place to stay.
