Brand New 6BD Luxury Oceanfront Retreat with Private Pool!

"Beautiful property in an incredible setting, with the sound on the front side of the home and the ocean in the back. The backyard, pool, and hot tub are fantastic, and the home itself is impressive.That said, there were several issues that were disappointing for a rental at this price point. Most importantly, the elevator was not working when we arrived and apparently had not been operational for at least part of the previous guests’ stay. We had four guests around 80 years old, so moving in and out without an elevator was extremely difficult. Unfortunately, we were not notified of the issue before arrival, nor was any consideration offered regarding the rental rate.It was also surprising that there was no grill available for renters. The outdoor kitchen is not accessible to guests, although the owner did allow us to use the BGE, which we appreciated. There is a Blackstone, but we did not use it. A few burners on the gas cooktop and one of the two ovens were also not functioning, although there were still enough working appliances to prepare meals.The property manager, however, was excellent, extremely responsive, helpful, and genuinely concerned about making our stay comfortable. Overall, this is a beautiful home and property, but given the price point, we expected better communication and attention to some of these issues."

"Love the warm beachy decor and the location. Sitting on the porch or deck overlooking the yard is a treat. Great communication from owners. Appreciate the beach gear and bikes. Great to have the mini fridge under the house and the hammock down there too. We have stayed here for many years and are already booked for next years vacation."

"An older property that has the charm and traditional layout that has been validated by the test of time but with updates such as new kitchen, pocket bathroom off living room not related to bedrooms, washer and dryer conveniently off kitchen, not on ground level, excellent AC, very comfortable rockers on expansive front porch where we spent a ton of time. Beach access incredibly easy and island market a couple of blocks walk - kids can get their own ice cream. Pier close and vIsIble above dunes. Ocean view mostly blocked by dunes when sitting down on porch but much natural beauty - trees and flowers in dune conservation area and many birds and wildlife. Path to beach short and adjacent to property so you never have to even go out to the street. Easy for someone to go fishing etc on pier and though at crowded end of beach it was not too crowded. Having been to Sunset Beach many times we knew we could walk a couple of blocks down for an emptier beach but It was not necessary despite being in the middle of a very hot July. It helped that we used a beach umbrella service so our spot was set up every day early in the morning. We were a group of 3 generations ranging from ages 81 down to 14. The downstairs extra room is comfortable but it is a ground floor room better for younger adults but a bit small for the elderly. Lots of beach chairs and other beach items available and stored and marked clearly."
