"Loved Motel Ely! Super friendly/helpful proprietor offered plenty of recommendations for restaurants. Rooms are not standard modern soulless fare. Mismatched furnishings, midcentury-style mini fridges, unusual bathroom sink/toilets... but everything is spotless and functional. One of our 2 rooms had a great mural, both featured shiplap wood walls. Affordable and cozy. Also right on Sheridan St in Ely, making it easy to explore town on foot. Highly recommend."

"The room was cozy snugged up to the lake. The staff was amazing and accommodating. If you want to truly enjoy the North I highly recommend this resort. Quiet cozy and secluded. Canoes are available at no cost which wow so enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends who are looking to escape in the beauty of nature and disconnect from the busy world around us. "

"The home was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Communication was smooth and everything was ready when we arrived.There were plenty of books and games to keep us busy.We were close enough to town to be able to grab a quick bite but far enough away that we were in the woods. We saw deer and several kinds of birds right outside the window!"

"This cabin was in a fabulous setting and had a wonderful view of the lake. It was peaceful and the dock was great for swimming or fishing. We travel often and this was one of my favorite places or relaxation. The owners were great to work with and gave us information on things to do."
