Whilst in a national park, it's hard to keep up appearances, although this is a tired lodge. The grounds are literally falling apart; the roads around the lodge are full of potholes, and maintenance seems to be a low priority. The rooms lack wifi (like it's 2025 eh) and the food is poor for the prices paid. It's average and we fortunately paid the high price for the top rooms, where talking with out guests at least we have a tv to watch in our room when the weather turned bad. Modern conveiences seem to be removed and whilst the nature experience is also all about the destination and tranquility so is modern conveniences expected. I would not return to this lodge.

The stay was okay, but not memorable due to the dislikes. It fell short of the advertising/ website presentation.
The big breakfast fell somewhat short compared to others we have had.

"Nice setting. The room had a great view with big windows. Dinner at the restaurant was pretty good. Nice town to walk through, and there were bakeries nearby for breakfast. Short, easy drive to the bay of fire area. I would stay again."
