"Overall, very good - great location, wonderful breakfast, attractive inside and out. One complaint - we were assigned to a strange, small room. Would have been fine in size except that the end of the bed was about 2.5 feet from the wall-mounted tv. I had to lean and squeeze past these to get to my side of the bed or would have hit my head. So both annoying and unsafe. I note that this was off-season, so am perplexed as to why the front desk assigned this room to us - clearly the hotel had many empty rooms and besides, we made our reservation a month before arrival. But for this, both my wife and I had a wonderful stay and left happy and so we recommend Thon Alesund."

"The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was very good, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice. The bathroom in the room, while beautiful, was not functional. The half door of the shower allowed water to get all over the floor. The sink was so small and the mirror stuck out so far over the sink that I could barely wash my hands let alone my face without getting water everywhere. Other than the bathroom, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy and everything was well cared for."

"We had a wonderful three-nights stay in this comfortable 1-bedroom unit. It's spacious, fresh and well equipped with all necessary amenities. The location is great —within a short walk to the grocery store, bus routes and less than 15 minutes to town center. The views of the water and the city are picturesque. We highly recommend it!"
