Grand whitestone Oamaru hotel in good renovated condition. Large very clean Victorian bedroom with modern bathroom. We had dinner and drinks in the bar and dining room. The friendly barman doubled as the waiter and went out of his way to make our evening special.....thanks

A very quirky place. A cross between Steampunk and the old boys cricket club from yester year. Clean. Comfortable. Very central location. But no on site parking at all - despite what is advertised. The door was broken with a screw hanging out of the door handle which is asking for injury. When we first got there they said the key was in the door which isn’t very safe, then next minute they have lost the key and it takes them 10-15 to find us a key while we just stand around and wait.
