"I got stuck in the airport around 10pm and this hotel was a great choice, accessible economically, and the shuttle pick me up immediately. There are no restaurants in the area at that time, so plan accordingly. The area outside is very noisy, but other than that the staff is great, the room spacious, clean and comfortable. "

"Everything was great, the only thing I can complain about is the pool closing at 10 I wish it was open later and we also weren’t able to check in till 4:30 pm when we were supposed to be able to at 3 pm. Other than that 5 stars."
"Great value for the price! We loved the oceanfront view and the fact we could open our sliding glass door to listen to the band playing. The room was very clean, the bed was soft & comfortable (great for a side sleeper with sore shoulders). The halls and lobbies were warm but the room was nice & cool. The elevators seemed to be the biggest hold up of our time especially during check in/out times, there always seemed to be at least one not working in each bank. Ocean Annies was lots of fun with bands playing from about noon until 11pm with a sharp cut off time. Great resort and area for the 50+ crowd. Not a ton of children around. We rented an umbrella & 2 chairs for $110 for 3 days on the beach which was totally worth every penny. Lots of complaints in reviews had me a bit worried but i was happy with everything. If you want something perfect & fancy you are going to have to pay 4x the rate at a different place."
"Francis Marion is first class! The room was perfect. The location can’t be beat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.we will be returning to The Francis Marion our next Charleston Trip. Oh and the views of Charleston are Beautiful from your room! "
"The staff is wonderful, spacious double-bedded rooms, great wifi access, easy climate controlled, a 30 second walk to the beach and boadwalk, great pool and lazy river that stays open late. Overall we recommend this hotel to any out of towners on vacation."
