"Bill was attentive and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the outside patio area and ocean view from the high top table and chairs. The home was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Downtown Carmel was very close, we went to Mission Ranch for dinner more than once, it is less than 5 minutes away. This was great for a long weekend stay for two people. "

"Overall I really enjoyed my stay. The heater didn’t seem to work in room although I didn’t really have an absolute need for it. Room was VERY clean! Even though older it was clean in every corner. Only room for improvement was in the desk people. While kind enough, they did not take a personal interest in my questioning the heat in the evening. "Our stay was beautiful! The hotel is stunning, with a friendly and attentive staff, eager to make your stay a happy one. The buffet breakfast with omelette and waffle station was fabulous. The hotel is an historical building so the rooms and bathrooms maintain the original footprint and size, which prohibited any enlargement of the very small bathroom. But given all the other perks La Playa offers we survived the small space and would definitely return. "
