"Hotel location in heart of Fort Galle excellent. Staff service, friendliness and willingness to accommodate excellent. Beautiful buildings well restored. Excellent breakfast. I assume they are not 5 star as only provide some of the little extras in room that you would normally expect from like properties eg tissues, body lotion etc but that didn’t bother us! Our bed was a little saggy but that is the only fault we could find. They even gave us a very late checkout at no cost when we offered to pay which was very much appreciated & totally not expected. Highly recommend."
"This resort is next level, from friendliness of staff, quality and options in dining choices, we were privileged to be upgraded to a pool villa that was simply huge and stunning and on our last day were given a late checkout that exceeded expectations.
Our only disappointment is that we have to leave however we will definitely be back. Thank you Shan and team for such an enjoyable stay."
"The check-in for this property is very problematic. Note that their credit card reader doesn’t always work. And they are very lucky if you try to pay with cash about the condition of your bills. The slightest crease on a bill and they won’t take it. This makes paying for the property difficult and a completely unnecessary headache. "
"Absolutely a superb experience! Such friendly staff, helpful at all times. Lovely to have a “private” beach and combine relaxation with experiences arranged by a knowledgeable staff. "
"Hotel: Levels Unawatuna
Room no: Superior Double
Staff: 10/10
Location: 10/10
Cleanliness: 10/10
Soundproofing: 2/10 (music from pool area)
Blockout curtains: Yes, but light from the hallway shines through the sides of the blinds.
Comments: Spectacular view. Electronic dance music/subwoofer from pool area is loud and can be heard in the room, even though there was no people at the pool. Made it feel like more of a nightclub vibe than a hotel. The music didn’t stop until 9.15pm when I called reception to ask what time the music stops. It commenced again the following morning at 8.20am. The water pressure in the shower is poor. Very hard to wash the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. Breakfast is included. If you’re vegan or have coeliac disease you can only eat the fruit. If you’re vegetarian you can only eat the fruit and eggs. If we had booked more than one night I would have been incredibly disappointed. The dinner menu is alright though."
Make a point to visit attractions such as Mirissa Beach and Handunugoda Tea Estate. During your stay, visit sights such as Madiha Beach, Weligama Beach and Polhena Beach.
