I am so glad we found Elken Retreat and we can’t wait to stay again! The place is beautifully maintained and decorated, extremely clean, the owners are absolutely amazing, the room had anything we needed, the pool was perfect and having breakfast made the next morning was the cherry on top! Truly a fantastic place and people!!

Our favorite place to stay in a 60mi radius

Avid travelers traveling from Oklahoma & Louisiana to meet, this is our families favorite place to stay. We usually like to find new places every trip but this is the best in the region. The best of both hotels or vaca rentals with enjoyable outdoor space for all ages & weather, well thought out rooms with all the details (the kids especially love they each get their own bed instead of sharing or pull outs), excellent breakfast and friendly, accommodating hosts who make you feel like family. We love ELKen Retreat and the Faglie’s!

Jason and Jen were wonderful hosts. I strongly recommend staying here if in the area. Very personal and wonderful touch with homemade cookies for me and my daughter as well. Also, even if the dad jokes didn’t go over with the kid, I enjoyed them. My daughter did comment that the French toast was better than mom’s.

Perfect Getaway, Especially During Canton Trade Days

What a wonderful place this is! Jason and Jennifer, the owners, are amazing.l They are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and the beds are so comfortable also. We stayed in a room with four twin beds. It was perfect for a girl's trip! As we approached the rooms, we found a table right outside with a personalized note expressing their appreciation for our return visit, along with a plate of chocolate chip cookies which were delicious! It was so cute! Oh, and did I mention they have a pool? After traveling a couple of miles to a local restaurant, Jalapenos for dinner, we enjoyed their large, well-maintained pool. We had a great night's sleep in our charming room and woke up to a cup of coffee before heading to the dining area. There, we found a lovely table reserved with our names. The tables were beautifully decorated and Jennifer warmly welcomed us bringing us orange juice and coffee. While she engaged us in conversation, her husband was preparing breakfast at the griddle. Within minutes, they both served us beautifully presented plates of French toast, breakfast sausages, and fresh fruit. It felt like we were dining at a 5-star high-end restaurant and tasted even better! Our short stay couldn't have ended better. Jason and Jennifer are the kindest people you could meet. In fact, we already planned another stay at Elkins for the beginning of December, and Jennifer happily set it up for us before we left. You won't regret staying at Elkin Retreat! I promise!

Girl’s Family Trip

We chose ElKen Retreat for a short weekend trip away from the city. We couldn’t have picked a better place! Clean rooms, super comfortable beds, great hospitality, and DELICIOUS food. 😋 My Grandma was already trying to book another date to return on our first day there. We will definitely be back.

My girlfriends and I recently traveled to Canton Trade Days and chose to stay at the ElKen Retreat! We were not disappointed! The owners have done an incredible job making sure that no detail was left unfinished! They thought of everything! We were treated with personalized touches throughout and every need was met! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Jennifer and her daughter during our stay - such a sweet family! Thank you again - the girls trip was incredible and this retreat was the icing on the cake!!

Perfect girls’ trip spot!

Jennifer and Jason were delightful hosts! This property was exactly what we were looking for to make a canton excursion the perfect trip. Jennifer was so helpful in making dinner restaurant suggestions and then provided the most delicious muffins to get our morning off just the way we needed! We will absolutely stay again!

Relaxing stay in Canton, TX

What a great place to stay! You can really feel all the care that Jen and Jason have for what they do in all the little details from the notes they leave you to having everything set up for you when you return from a day out. Great Place

The hosts were absolutely perfect! They met all our needs, were kind, polite, and helpful! If you are taking a girls trip to Canton for Trade Days or just need a place to meet and hang out with friends this is the place. We loved that we each got our own bed. The room was very clean and decorated nicely. The pool was nice. I recommend booking this and will be back!

Jennifer and Jason made our relaxing girls weekend exactly what we were looking for.

Rooms were very clean, decorated really cute, and very comfortable for all three us. The property is very close to Canton so restaurants and shopping were easy to get to. Definitely will return.

Welcoming

The room was very clean & decorated very nice. Beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have real cups & glasses in the room. The warm chocolate chip cookies delivered to the door that night was an unexpected treat & cookies were yummy!! The hosts were a kind & hospitable couple. 💕 Highly recommend 👍
