We had an amazing time staying at the dome. The owner was very responsive, and it was a truly unique experience. Big Bend and Terlingua Ghost Town are a short(ish) drive away, and it was nice to be a little bit off the grid (although the domes have wifi). The accommodations were very nice and overall it was great!
First- we LOVED the dome. It was such a unique experience. Every detail was so thought out and we had everything we needed. The dome and bath house were both clean and very well maintained. One of our best vacations yet. 100% recommend and we can’t wait to come back, hopefully with some friends next time!
The property was further off the beaten path than I expected and about 30ish mins from terlingua. The property was as pictured on the site. The door was hard to open and shut to the room with the digital lock. The room was clean and cutely decorated. The coffee machine was kind of like a nespresso machine which was nice. We had a great view of the mountains. The exterior shell is more like a tarp so with the wind it was decently noisy at night. The bath house was probably the least pleasing part. With it being a coed bathroom the only locked doors are the toilets. The showers are open with just a curtain where someone could walk in if the wanted. The sink was leaking really badly and the shower handle fell off and wasn’t attached. There’s only one sink and two toilets and two showers. We didn’t have to wait for the facilities. There’s no bath and bodywork’s products as listed in the advertisement. There are disposable shower shoes. You can’t flush toilet paper down and the waste basket wasn’t emptied the whole weekend we were there. Kinda gross. Overall it was a good place but there were closer places to big bend park that are similar and there’s no food or stores within about 30 mins so you should come prepared. We had a decent time staying here. There were games in the room, extra chargers if you need one, water machine in the room. We didn’t try to grill, firepit or popcorn machine but they were available if needed.

Disappointed
The dome was exactly what we expected however, the host missed a couple of basic details. We arrived 6 hours after the check-in time and the dome was not ready. We contacted the host and after several calls the cohost responded. The linen was changed but coffee pods were not refilled. For coffee drinkers this was disappointing. On the second night we ran out of toilet paper. The host and cohost were responsive however, these details should not have been missed.
