Newly remodeled, on beautiful acreage between Temple & Belton, gorgeous views

The Texas Star cottage is only five minutes from Temple, seven minutes from Belton and only eleven minutes to Salado. The Silos, in Waco, are forty minutes away. The cottage is centrally located, yet has a country feeling.
Fruit, muffins, and beverages will be in the refrigerator upon your arrival to be enjoyed at your leisure.. Sit on the covered porch, take in the views. Bikes are available to ride with prior notice. Taylors Valley is a beautiful area to take walks. At this time, we don't have horses but are seeking horses to pasture.

The cottage has a living/dining/ kitchen combination, beautifully decorated with a separate bedroom. It has a covered front porch with relaxing rockers that look over
the pasture. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed with down comforter. The cottage is equipped with a full kitchen with granite countertops, flat screened television, with Netflix, Hulu & Disney, DVD player with over 30 DVD's to watch, WIFI, and a day bed. Our ten acre property
is located across the street from a large ranch, and is a great area for hiking and biking. This property beats any hotel room in terms of privacy, space, covered parking,
and hospitality.

Temple Cottage

On a recent trip to visit family, we spent 4 nights here. I enjoyed waking up and having coffee on the porch and hearing the sounds of nature - but also being close to everything. We visit the area several times throughout the year and definitely plan on returning. This place is a jewel!

Relaxing and peaceful taste of the country

The property is a beautiful cottage with easy access to Temple and Belton. Horses on the property next door with treats to feed them if you want. Extremely quiet and relaxing getaway location. Cottage is clean and comfortable and was a great launching point for our Belton adventures. Snacks waiting on our arrival and had great and easy communication with our hosts. Can't wait to stay there again!

We loved the quiet, clean, well maintained house. It is very charming and we appreciated so much, the extra thoughtful touches like breakfast muffins and snacks, movies, board games and books to read. It is thoughtfully decorated and cheerful. Super nice property that’s close to town and in the country as well. Peaceful, well appointed with everything you could need. I would recommend some attention to the bed, it’s a bit saggy and you tend to roll to the middle but otherwise fantastic!

The location was perfect, short drive to Belton and wedding venue. Cottage was located in a neighborhood that was quiet and had little-to-no traffic. Street was mainly used by few residents in the area. Great stay and felt safe. Host lives in main house on the property.

Exactly like the pictures show. Quiet and away from all the city noise. The horses really enjoyed the apples we gave them every day. Personal touches were so nice. Highly recommend staying here. Hope to be back.

Right up my alley!

The location, the quaintness, the cleanliness, the quietness, the view, the house setup…were perfect!! Stayed the weekend for daughter’s weekend activities at Mary Hardin-Baylor. The cottage is ideally located to go into Belton, UMHB, and Temple. Two adults stayed very comfortably. Everything was easy with check-in and check-out. Will definitely stay again when in the area and have shared it with friends and family as a suggestion when needing a place to stay or for a get away.

Charming and Peaceful House

My husband and I were in Texas for his son's wedding and our honeymoon. The Texas Star was the perfect retreat for us while we were visiting Texas. The house and property was peaceful, beautiful and perfect for the 2 of us. We were close to our son's house and his wedding venue in Salado. We had the opportunity to visit Salado and Waco and we enjoyed our trip immensely, we hope to visit our son again and we will definitely stay in the Texas Star. Thank you for your hospitality.
