Great House, Great Location, Clean, & Beautiful
My friends and I go on a group trip each year. There were 13 of us (all 30+) that stayed in the house for 6 nights and it was great! We rented golf carts to get around Potrero and Flamingo. It was easy to ride the roads in the area with a golf cart. The house is in walking distance to Hemingways and a few other restaurants and markets. It’s a quiet area at night, not too close to restaurants so you can hear everything, just a good close enough distance to walk. We felt extremely safe and everything was beautiful. This is a great house for large groups. The beach wasn’t crowded, the water is a lot flatter here than in Flamingo. 10/10 recommend staying in this house. I would be happy going back here with my family! Great house and great location! You can’t go wrong with staying in this house with your friends or family.

Wonderful stay for extended family
We had such a wonderful stay! My extended family of 14 stayed here for spring break - we had 6 kids (ages 10 months - 7 years old) and the house was perfect. There is a huge yard filled with lizards for the kids to run around in, quick easy access to the beach and a perfect size pool. There was plenty of room for our family. The house is about 45 minutes from the airport and only about 10 minutes (or shorter) from Playa Flamingo where we took two boat trips (estuary tour and dolphin site seeing tour). We had a great time and highly recommend!

We booked this accommodation to stay together as a family & have a vacation together. The accommodation was absolutely perfect! We had the luxury of each having our own bathroom & bedroom, a daily housekeeper & pool maintenance. Even though it was exceptionally hot while we were there we had lovely shaded areas to relax in & enjoy meals together outdoors. We all enjoyed the pool & having our own beach to enjoy the ocean as well. Super close to all amenities, groceries, pharmacies & great restaurants. Jimmy our host was amazing & helped our family immensely through some unexpected family emergencies. We can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was here! Pura Vida!

Perfect Vacation
Beautiful property. Visited with 14 family members. 6 kids were under 7. We had the most amazing time. Sunsets were incredible. The yard & pool were perfect, the kids had lots of space to run around. The house was very nice with a gorgeous balcony & lots of bathrooms. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well. It was very clean and the cleaner was great & reliable. Used the concierge to help book a few things along with the chef - all went well. Would love to return!

Costa Rica Beach Front Villa
My group of 12 family and friends had a fantastic experience. The property owner was quick responding to questions and directing us to helpful staff. Alexandra is tops in arranging everything we needed. She set up excellent excursions and transportation. She stocked the house with food and beverages. We also hired the singing Chef Karen for several meals and a beautiful memorable night of song and dance. Karen has a voice of an angel. We walked and swam in the ocean everyday as well as the pool on the property. The property also has a outdoor shower to rinse off sand and a gazebo where we sat and glazed at the ocean. We appreciated that all 7 rooms had their own bathroom and there was also a guest powder room on the first floor. The property and landscaping was beautiful. We took a lot of pictures. Alexandra recommended a cabin boat cruise in which we saw 4 whales and caught 3 tuna. The captain cooked the fish on board and prepared a delicious meal. The property is walking distance to restaurants, pharmacies, grocery store. We rented golf carts to expand further exploration. We loved our 2 week stay.

Amazing Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this house. The view and the proximity to the ocean, pool, palapa, and grassy backyard make this house standout from many others. We were a family of 9 adults and 4 kids (including an infant) and had the perfect amount of space. Chef Karen prepared an outstanding meal for us. Potrero has many dining options in walking distance. We LOVED the burritos and tacos from Gritanga (next to the brewery). We also rented a golf cart and explored Playa Flamingo area. This was a vacation we will never forget!

Loved Staying on the Beach
Holiday gathering with our entire family. House include concierge, cleaning personnel, security guard at night, and lawn and pool staff. We rented kayaks and paddle boards for the week and used them every day. Short walk to restaurants and we had a cooking staff come in for one dinner. Everyone had a good time. We had 3 cars which we parked right at the front door.

Everything we could hope for and more!
We stayed at Casa Paraiso for 5 days just before Christmas. Everything was perfect. The house is beautiful and ideally located. There was many stores, restaurants, shops and more very close by. The kids had a great time playing in the pool and on the beach and in the ocean. The adults enjoyed watching the kids from the nearby gazebo with a cool beverage in hand. There was plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was nicely equipped. Alexandra took great care of us before, during, and after our trip. She made great recommendations for restaurants in the area (go to Olga's restaurant!) and helped us set up bookings for tours. Everything exceeded expectations and provided us great value for the cost. Our only disappointment was not having more time to remain at the house and in Costa Rica. If you are looking for a world class vacation in a beautiful setting, you will surely find it in Costa Rica/Playa Potrero at Casa Paraiso. Book with confidence.

Beautiful and fun stay in Playa Potrero
This was a vacation to celebrate my retirement and all my family traveled to stay here. There was 14 of us. The house was beautiful and clean. The pool was awesome. The Location was great just to walk out to the beach. Alexa the house concierge was wonderful and helpful. My only concerns was that I did not know there was 2 people living on the property, one a gardener one a security person. I was just surprised. The gardener worked at night and triggered motion lights in the backyard. I would suggest a larger seating area for the living room. Seating for 5 was not sufficient for gathering at night for maybe visiting and maybe a tv show. The palapa was wonderful for morning coffee. Overall we were very very happy there.

The palapa is a wonderful place to have coffee in the morning and watch the evening sunsets with your favorite beverage. There must have been a misunderstanding in regard to people living on the property. There are two detached buildings in the front of the house: one is used for storing gardener equipment, the other is used for the housekeeper's cleaning supplies, extra towels, and linens. It also has a restroom in there for the staff to use. We have asked the security to water the grounds late at night, once the guests have gone to sleep, so they do not intrude on the guests' time at the house. Top 5 best vacations
I invited a group of friends for my 50th birthday. Plenty of room for 13 people. So many activities to do and many within walking distance, but also so relaxing you can just chill at home and enjoy the house. The concierge's were fantastic with activity planning and very responsive. We hired a chef for a birthday dinner (for 17 people) The Chef was 5 stars. The owner, Chris, was also very responsive and had plenty of recommendations. I've recommended to friends and family already. Thanks Chris!

Celebrating "50"
From beginning to end, nothing disappointed! Casa Paraiso, is absolutely beautiful! There were 9 of us, all ladies, celebrating my 50th birthday and things couldn't have been more perfect. The 7 bedrooms are well appointed, the kitchen has everything you'll need, and the pool and outside areas are very comfortable. The view, proximity and cleanliness of the beach is beyond words. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance (Hemingways has amazing pizza, the Shack does breakfast, or go to MerKdo for quick grocery items; all within a 10 min walk from the villa. Now, Alexandra - hands down, is one of the best concierge hosts I've ever had, and her tours, transportation (love Eduardo) and meal service referrals and recommendations were spot on. Ms. Karen (chef) and her team prepared an amazing meal for us on our last night that pushed over the top to beyond expectation! Our only regret was that we didnt stay longer. We will definitely be back!

Family Vacation
We were looking for a house that would suit all of us. We were 6 adults, 4 teenagers, and 6 & 8 year old. We wanted somewhere that we could cook if we wanted to, and spend quality time together. We flew into Liberia and had a driver (arranged through Alexandra) pick us all up and take us to the house, about 45 min drive. All went smoothly. Once we arrived we all were impressed with the house, the teens scattered to claim their bedrooms. A highlight was that each bedroom had its own bathroom! The welcome fruit basket and coffee was so nice. The house looks just like the photos, fantastic. Even better was when we went outside and saw the lovely pool and then the kids ran to the ocean! they were so excited. Having Angie (the maid) come in each day and clean was such a bonus. We tried to stay on top of things but having her really helped. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly through Alexandra. Dealing with the owner was quick & easy, prior to our arrival. Alexandra helped us to plan some activities and arrange the transportation for all of us. Drivers always showed up on time. The boat trip was especially fun and we all loved it. If you're looking for a beautiful beach home to make wonderful family memories, this is the one! Pura Vida

Couldn't have been more perfect!
We booked this property to stay with our families and host our wedding. Everything was even better than we imagined! The house is beautiful and Angie keeps it immaculately clean. The bedrooms with private bathrooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. The location was great with several restaurants you can walk to. I do recommend renting a golf cart to explore a little further and get to the larger market down the road (which also has better prices than the market you can walk to). One of the reasons we selected this property was because of the included concierge and we couldn't have pulled off our wedding without Alexa! She went above and beyond to help us secure vendors and make sure everything went smoothly the day of the ceremony. The flower shop she recommended created the most stunning arrangements I've ever seen. Karen came and cooked dinner for us and it was absolutely delicious and the bakery we ordered cake and cookies from was outstanding. Alexa even recommended a photographer who did a beautiful job, hair and makeup artist who was incredible, and officiant who was great. I cannot say enough good things about the home and the team that helped us! We hope to return in the future.

4th of July Family Trip
Casa Paraiso was amazing and perfect for our family of 12. Angie was great! Her massages were one of the highlights of our trip and she kept the whole house feeling so neat and clean. Alexandra attended to every detail in setting up our many activities (sailing, fishing, surfing, zip lining) and getting us there and back. Karen prepared two meals, including an 80th birthday celebration and we loved her energy and voice. Hemingway’s and The Beach House were only steps away and we enjoyed every meal we ate at both places. Chris answered any questions within minutes. He is the perfect host and his home is even more beautiful than the pictures! Our Costa Rican vacation was definitely the trip of a lifetime for all of us!

Great first impression!
Visiting Costa Rica was a first for our group so our expectations were high. From beginning to end, this house rental was all we had hoped for. The owner (Chris) and concierge (Alexandra) were extremely helpful and super responsive with our questions and inquiries. Alexandra booked all our transports and excursions and they were top notch - zip lining, snorkeling and waterfall hike. The house is as described - clean, comfortable and was perfect for our group of 13. Daily cleaning by Angie was a game changer for a group our size. The house has all the amenities and more you would need. He hired Karen (private chef) for two dinners and it was delicious! We were within walking distance (no car rental) to a market (a little pricey) and several restaurants - favorites were Hemingway’s and Perlas. The sunsets were amazing from the private yard and beach access. In July it’s quite warm and wished the pool was a little cooler but no control over that. Overall a fabulous vacation!

Loved our stay in this wonderful house. Area is very peaceful and safe. Seemed a little far from a lot of activities, though. This was our first time in Costa Rica and weren’t really sure where to stay but knew we wanted to stay at the beach. The beach was great! Not the white sands and blue see through water but still beautiful!

What a Great House!
This house is a wonderful place to stay. Angie takes such great care of the property and Alejandra helped us schedule great activities, as well a private chef, and grocery shopping. We rented golf carts and were able to explore from Playa Pencha to Playa Brasilito. We were right on the bay in Playa Potrero. The house had a huge backyard, wonderful covered patio and huge palapa near the ocean. The pool was well maintained and backyard well manicured. The bedrooms were huge and had nice sized bathrooms as well. Chris the owner responded quickly to any of my inquiries via VRBO. Again, I can't say enough about Angie taking care of the house everyday. The house always felt clean and put together. Costa Rica is a magical place and I am so glad we were able to stay at this wonderful home.

Luxury All Over The Place!
My husband and I invited 10 of our closest friends and family members to stay at Casa Paraiso for a week. The trip from the airport is fairly quick (about 1 hour) and the location of the house is very close to MANY restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, juice and fruit stands, and two small but thoroughly stocked grocery stores. Throughout the planning process, Alexandra, the concierge, was immensely helpful and arranged everything for us. Everything she suggested and arranged went off without a hitch and was wonderful. Angie, the housekeeper (and licensed masseuse) kept us tidy and relaxed. I prefer Potrero to Tamarindo because the vibe is laid back and less touristy. The house has EVERYTHING. Bluetooth speakers, tons of pots, pans, and dishes, beach towels, pool toys, blender, coffee pot, washer/dryer....everything has been considered and provided at the highest level. The pool is the perfect size and we loved not having to share with anyone else. The outdoor spaces gave us plenty of options for dining, reading, and relaxing. We had plenty of room to be together or have alone time. Playa Flamingo is less than 10 minutes away by golf cart if you prefer pinkish sand and bigger waves. Flamingo Marina has higher-end shopping and is also very close. We ate at Hemingway's (within walking distance) 4 times! Also found the owners to be very responsive and attentive. Honestly, it was the trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend!

Excellent Stay At Casa Paraiso!
Wow! What a great property! We just got back from Casa Paraiso and it met all expectations. Alexandra the concierge was fantastic and a great communicator. She helped arrange a sunset cruise, rainforest excursion and a private chef. Great communication from the owner as well. Angie the cleaning came everyday which ended up being so helpful and reduced the stress of cleaning up all the time. Karen the private chef was great and the food was awesome. It's clear the owner put a lot of pride into maintaining this property and ensuring the guest have a good time. We traveled with 6 adults and 4 kids. Every room has it's own bathroom which is amazing. The kitchen has enough space for 3-4 people to be preparing meals. The outdoor spaces were perfect. Pool was warm. We always looked forward to spending the evenings outside. The sunsets were INCREDIBLE. Overall location is A+++. Tons of walkability if you plan to stay put. We went to Hemingways Restaurant multiple times. Multiple coffee shops close by. A market with essentials. And a taco stand which were some of the best tacos and burritos we have ever had. Plus a ton of other restaurant options. Would absolutely book again!

Such an impressive house and property. The location is great for families and also entertainment! Beautiful beaches all around. Concierge Alexandra was very helpful and available. We arranged for Karen, private chef, to make us a meal each week. The food was excellent, and the price was reasonable. Angie, and her son Jacob took great care of the house and us throughout the couple of weeks. We are dreaming of the next time we can return.

The house and location were great!! Walk to restaurants and market. Angie was awesome. We had massages with her too! Alex was great and responded very quickly to issues, we had one room that lost aircon and someone was there within an hour! The only recommendations I would have is replace the dishwasher, replace the beach chairs and look into the hot water as it wasn’t consistent throughout the house for showers. I would return to that house in a heartbeat!!

We had 6 couples sharing Casa Paraiso and it was fantastic. Each couple had a comfortable, ensuite room, plus there was a lot of communal space for gathering. We spent almost all of our time outside, under the palapa, on the patio, or in the pool. As a gathering space, the palapa cannot be beat. It was the perfect place for reading, shmoozing, snoozing, or toasting the sunset. The owner has worked hard to outfit the house so that dishes are plentiful and everything you might need is available. Angie, the housekeeper, is delightful and is equally eager to make your visit enjoyable. One woman in our group hired Angie for a massage and would recommend her highly. We asked Karen, the "singing chef," to cook two dinners for us and both were delicious. I did not think I liked ceviche, but hers was amazing--as were her mango coladas. Our group spent one day at Playa Flamingo and another day in Tamarindo, both of which were fun days for everyone, especially the bodysurfers in the group. We got to the former by cabs and the latter by hiring a van and driver. There are several restaurants and a small grocery store (that caters to tourists) within easy walking distance of the house, so we did not feel the need to rent a golf cart. (The pharmacy above the market ripped us off, so I would recommend making sure you have first aid supplies with you.) The icemaker and dishwasher were both a bit persnickety, and we would have liked to have more hot water (and hotter water), but all of these issues qualified as minor inconveniences and everyone loved the house. As the person who found the rental, I was thanked numerous times every day. We all would highly recommend Casa Paraiso as the perfect house for a wonderful vacation.

No photo shops, what you see is what you get. The place is gorgeous, extremely well maintained. Chris Pappas the owner, always answered any questions within 5 minutes. The sunsets watching from the spacious gazebo were the highlights of our days. One advice, get a car or golf cart, the Merkdo 5 minutes from the house was not sufficient for our grocery shopping. I highly recommend the 5 minutes drive to the Masai grocery store in Flamingo for a fantastic selection, they even have Gluten Free products.

The house on the ocean was perfect - there were 13 in total and almost everyone had their own bed and bathroom. Lots of space to spread out. Balconies had shade for most of day and palapa was great for us white skinned northerners. We swam in the ocean right in front of condo every day and did one of the snorkel tours. Also had dinner catered one night which was fabulous. We had a maid, grounds keeper and night outside security person. Also rented a golf cart so my husband could get around which turned out perfectly as we were able to get to all nearby placed including Flamingo Beach. We spent 4 nights there after 10 days close to Lake Arenal - perfect chill time before going home.

Excellent Place to Stay
I took my office staff and their significant other on a vacation and we decided to give this rental a try. This place was awesome! It gave us plenty of space to separate but also plenty of space to gather together all 12 of us. You won't find a place better than this! It is right on the beach, with many restaurants within walking distance. We had so much fun! Give this place a chance and you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely perfect family vacation. Everyone had their own room and bathroom, the pool and beach were amazing, we were able to check in early, there was a private concierge that arranged all our activities , AND daily cleaning. The owner was really nice and replied quickly to all correspondence. They actually noticed that I was over charged by VRBO because I changed my stay dates, told me about it, and sent me a check for the price difference so I wouldn’t have to wait on hold to get my refund. This was the first family vacation I have been on where I didn’t need a vacation when I got home, lol. So relaxing!

Wonderful property!
We are a group of 10 adults ranging in age from 19 to 90. Walking into this home upon our arrival was magical moment. It makes a lovely first-impression because it was VERY clean, orderly, and well laid out. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Daily maid service kept the home looking great all week. Through Alexandra we had a cook come to the home twice to prepare our all-seafood dinners and she was absolutely spot-on with her choice of the cook. Those 2 dinners were simply stellar. We also arranged an evening of sailing, and a day of zip-lining, and from start to finish our week in Costa Rica was a real pleasure. We had an amazing vacation. Accommodations were perfect for our family of 12. Each bedroom had a bathroom. Hot water was sketchy. Pool was great size. Beautiful yard and view. Angie our housekeeper was phenomenal. Only downer was fishing trip. We were not given option to reschedule our trip when red tide came in overnight. Fishing trip was not what we expected. We paid $700 to pretty much watch the guy catch a fish and let us reel it in. Not very “hands on”.

Beach Beauty
Our family of 10 loved this Casa. The breeze out front under the Gazebo was so cool. The home is spacious and we never felt crowded. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. It is also 5 minutes from several VERY good restaurants. This was such a lovely home. Angie is superb. She came everyday and kept the property spotless both inside and out. The property manager, Alexandra, was above fabulous. She was always there for us if we had any issues!. The location of this house was superb! We highly recommend this property!

The best sunsets
We loved this home! 6 couples traveling together, and it was an easy house to spread out in. Never felt cramped, and everyone could find their own space. Alexandra the concierge helped set up tours and was reservations and even picked up a wheelchair for one of us who broke their leg zip lining. We loved Karen our chef, and Angie our home caretaker was awesome. You will LOVE the sunsets from the tiki hut at the edge of the property!

Perfect home for family vacation with kids.
Wow!! We just had the most incredible week staying at this beautiful home with our 6 adult children and 4 young grandkids. The location was perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and the market. The grandkids loved the beach and the pool. Angie was so helpful cleaning and organizing each day. Not an easy job with 4 young kids. Alexandra helped arrange a fishing trip and a catamaran trip for us. She also arranged decorations for a surprise birthday celebration. Chris responded promptly to several emails I sent prior to and during our stay. He was always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Pura Vida.

A Diamond in Paradise
This truly is a Diamond in Paradise! I just don't know where to begin. From our first day of booking this fabulous house to our last day in Costa Rica, everything was Tip Top! Talking with the owner, Chris, was like chatting with my best friend. He answered everything, gave great advise and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Alexandra also went above and beyond her duties to make arrangements with tours, advise and suggestions for everything we wanted to do. Angie, you do an amazing job keeping the house clean and tidy for all 13 of us! Looking forward to booking this Diamond of a place in the near future! Pura Vida!

Paradise
Our stay was truly amazing. Everything was as listed. The house had great space, we loved the bedroom set up, it worked perfectly for our group of 13. The beach was also wonderful. Not busy, waves were just the right size where we didn't have to worry about the teenagers in our group. The pool was equally used and appreciated! Alexandra helped to organize our transportation and tours, Angie was also fantastic. Chris responded to any and all questions we had prior to our stay immediately. We can not wait to come back! Pura Vida!

Great location, beautiful house/property
From the initial booking and throughout the entire progress Chris and the concierge team where all extremely prompt with responses and helpful. We had a group of 10 and had more than enough space inside and out. There was a small ant problem our first night but Angela took care of it and we didn’t notice an issue the rest of our time. There is a small “town” about a 5 minute walk from the property with lots of restaurant options. If your staying for a longer period I would stop at a grocery store prior to arriving, while the local shop had good liquor/beer options they did not have a ton of actual groceries. Overall great property! I would highly recommend.

Amazing home, great location with outstanding property management
WOW! Where do I start? Our group of 14 couples had an amazing time at Casa Paraiso. The home has amazing views of the Ocean in a small bay area (Potrero) where the ocean has fun rolling waves, and hot black sand. Each couple had their own bathroom, with an additional half bath off the main level living space, which was perfect for using when in and out of the pool. Alexandra facilitated our every need during our stay, and we were able to rent a catamaran for snorkeling and fishing, visit multiple waterfalls and enjoyed the hikes on volcanic mountains. Having Angie come in daily to clean was so refreshing. Belamino came daily to clean the pool and make sure the house was in order. Alexandra arranged for a Chef to come in the day we arrived and for Valentine's Day, and what an amazing way to be welcomed to Costa Rica. I can't thank you enough for an amazing trip. Pura Vida!!

Birthday/Retirement Celebration with Family
We had a group of 8 adults who spent a week at this beautiful property. We had so much fun! The house was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The kitchen was well equipped. The back yard was beautiful and well maintained. We loved the seating area at the end of the backyard overlooking the beach and spent a lot of time there. Alexandra helped us set up several tours and they were all fun! The location was great! It is not at all crowded on the beach and there are several restaurants a very short walk away. We were not ready to leave and I would go back in a minute!
