I stayed 6 nights. Units had a ski locker with a combination lock in the mud room. Vacasa could not tell whether I'm allowed to use it. Unit was entitled to free Dial a Ride. Vacasa could not give me the code. In general, communication with Vacasa was by far the poorest experience I have had with a VRBO property manager. On the positive side, the property location is perfect. Its a 3 minute walk from chair 4 and the gongola, and closer to many Mountain Village restaurants, coffee, retail stores like Boot Doctors and Chrity Sport. The property was clean. The internet stopped working on 4th day. Vacasa handled that well, they had me restart the router and internet was restored.

Functional, close to lifts
Good, no-frills condo unit very close to lifts 4, 1, and 10, and the gondola into Telluride town. Only issues were no coffee included with the unit. Also, no hot tub on site and the bath tub was shallow for a 6’1” 200-lb man

Location is great, property very clean,, well stocked with what we needed.
It was perfect for us, we skied everyday and had dinner out or got takeout. We’ll stocked with towels, are only complaint if your a morning coffee person they need a better coffee pot! We ended up going out to get it at 8.50 $ a cup. Gotta have are coffee.

Awesome location and super convenient. You really don’t need a vehicle here. Close to lifts, Gondola, Ski Village, etc. if you do bring a car just park at the Inn at Lost Creek for $25.

Great location. Loved the absence of carpeting in the unit. The bed needs replacement and the unit needs a fresh coat of paint. Not sure if the bed is old or is missing some kind of support in the center of the frame. The condo felt on the small side for the two of us.

Great stay and location
Happy Thoughts is nothing like the run...it was easy and simply great for a ski weekend in Telluride. The location can't be beat, and should be advertised as ski in/ski out. The accomodations are quaint and great for 2. The bed is super comfy. The only complaint would be the loud lights and heater...a very loud buzz and click. Overall a great stay.

Did not make it to Telluride because of Covid-19 :-(
Unfortunately I never made it to Telluride this year because of the resort closure related to the Covid-19 pandemic. I had excellent communication with Tom and Wendy the owners and I would definitely recommend their place based on that and the location I know very well from past trips.

Great place in a great location
Cute place in a prime location. Place is exactly as described, was clean and owners are welcoming. We stayed here for 5 nights and didn’t experience any issues. We came with our 1 year old son and brought a travel crib with us. The place was big enough to put the crib in a corner and still have a good sized living area, as well as a bedroom that was sectioned off from the living area with a half wall. The place is steps away from everything, great restaurants, gondola, and skiing. Family friendly!

Soooo convenient
This place is GREAT! You can’t beat the location. You are in the middle of everything. The place was clean, better then the pictures, and the owners where there when we needed them. We got dropped off at the wrong place and I called the owners and he picked up right away and spoke with our driver. The place is warm and quiet at night. Good water pressure! Easy instructions to get in, great storage locker for our snowboard gear, plenty of pillows blankets and towels. We stayed 8 days and felt at home. I really can’t think of anything negative to say about the place. I highly recommend it!!!

Happy Thought was just that.
It was a great property.Very convenient to ride the gondola into Telluride.It was clean and the owners had put out a few things for us upon our arrival.That was a nice touch.Would recommend this place for anyone wanting a place to stay in Mountain Village.

From the quick responses at initial contact And welcoming feel, cleanliness, and comfort, everything you need is in this unit! Loved it, have tried other locations when I come to Telluride and not that anybwhere bad by any means but I will come back to “Happy Thoughts”!

Perfect location, wonderful space.
My boyfriend and I were in town for a conference and Happy Thought was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location was great, the condo was clean and spacious (for a condo) and well appointed. We were both able to comfortably set up a little "office" in the kitchen and still have space to relax. The one issue we had is that deliveries to the restaurant below can be a little noisy (more of an issue on warm days when you'll keep the windows open). Luckily, the delicious food (authentic Italian pizza) more than makes up for it. We would definitely stay again!

Cute, convenient and cozy!
My son and I were participating in a wedding in Telluride, and this was the perfect spot to take a respite from all the frivolities. Super convenient location in the middle of Mountain Village with restaurants, shops and Starbucks just steps away. The free gondola to either the Mountain Village Market or Telluride is within walking distance and made getting around a breeze. We were there mid-week, which was awesome because we were able to catch part of the sunset concert series, and we could just tuck away into the condo when we wanted to relax. The studio is a great size and super comfortable -- had everything we needed. We look forward to staying here again!

Perfect spot in Mt. Village
We recently spent 5 days in Mt. Village and loved staying at Happy Thought condo! The owners were wonderful about communicating with us and helped with all the details of our visit. The condo was exceptionally clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. It is also located close to the gondola station and many restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again!

This little condo was absolutely perfect for our family!
We had a fabulous time on our ski trip, and this condo was perfect for our needs for my husband and 7 year old daughter. Small, but very well equipped and organized. It was clean and attractive. And we loved the location, very convenient access to the slopes and middle of mountain village. Tom and Wendy were extremely nice and helpful, and even accommodated a last-minute early check-in, when we discovered our flight was earlier than we had originally thought. We will definitely consider staying here again!

We found our vacation place in Mountain Village!
My Husband and I stayed in Happy Thought Condo for a ski trip in Jan. The owners were very hospitable and accommodating with check-in/out times. This was helpful as we stayed 5 nights in Mountain Village and then moved to Telluride for the remainder for our trip. Check-in and out was simple as we had an entry code to the unit. No need to worry about losing a key. The studio condo was larger than pictured and very clean. There was plenty of room for us to spread out with all our ski stuff. We appreciated the closet space, entry storage and ski lockers. Only suggestion - It would be great if the ski locker had the same digital lock. There is also a huge TV in room which you can see if in the "bedroom" or living room. This was the first time on a ski trip that we didn't have a hot tub on premises but it really didn't bother us and we felt like we had more time in the village as most bars/restaurants places close at 9pm. We took the gondola to the market and cooked all our breakfasts in the unit. The ski access is a few steps away from the Condo with access to the Chondola and Sunshine Lift 10 which had easy and long green runs for beginner skiers like me. Access to Lift 4 with blue and black trails is also in the same area. Everything was so close and we really felt like Mountain Village locals. There are 3 restaurants basically below the unit and another restaurant next door at the Inn at Lost Creek. Plus tons of other restaurants within walking distance. Recommend eating at Allred's on top of the Gondola. Go early they open at 3pm for Apres Ski and the views are unbelievable. We will stay here again! Thank you!

What a great location!! We could not believe how close we were to everything. The owners were very attentive and checked on us to see if we needed anything. Sweet Place, Great Location (Mountain Village), Clean, Great Communication!
I cannot express enough how much my girlfriend and I loved and enjoyed staying at the Happy Thought Condo all 4 nights in March. The place is very clean with a contemporary design, great appliances, big and clean bathroom, comfortable and convertible couch, plenty of storage room inside, and a ski locker downstairs. You will not need a car if you are staying here as you can take the Gondola to town and back if needed. Steps away from ski lifts and many restaurants and bars. The Owner was very nice and responded to our inquiries promptly. We also received our security deposit back just a few days after we checked out. Skiing in Telluride does not need any comments and it is always exceptional. We are hoping on definitely coming back next ski season! Thanks again very much to the Owners! ~~Nicholas.

Great location
This place was perfect for my needs as a solo traveler on this trip. My thanks to Tom and Wendy for making the process very easy for a first time VRBO user. Would have loved to have met them to thank them personally. Hope to come back to Telluride one of these days. If you are looking for a wood burning fireplace and post-ski jacuzzi you may want something else, but if you are interested in skiing at a good location at a reasonable price and a comfortable place to stay and sleep, I highly recommend.

We loved our stay here! It was clean and well maintained. Exactly what we were expecting from reading the description. The location was great - around 5 minute walk to the gondola but we could ski even closer and only had to walk across the plaza to get to the snow. The owners left lots of helpful info on restaurants which was great. We had a great time and would go back again!

This studio fit our needs perfectly, clean and comfortable. So close to skiing and the Mountain Village restaurants. The ski lockers on the 1st floor were super handy and being able to park in the underground garage was helpful. Overall we certainly enjoyed our stay!

I booked this unit for two young adults who were traveling to Telluride as part of a much larger group of multiple families. The unit description and pictures were very accurate. Great stay/great value for the Telluride Blues Festival
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Happy Thought". It is a perfect location, with restaurants and lots of activities both in Mountain Village or easy access to the gondola down to Telluride. We were in town for the Blues Festival and really enjoyed that we could easily go back and forth to town when we wanted to be part of the festival activities but also had the option to go up the mountain for a bit of quiet! The studio has everything you need and is very comfortable and check in/out was very easy. We would highly recommend this studio as a home base for Telluride festivals or skiing.

Nice, clean, spacious condo in great location.
Our hosts were great communicators and provided clear instructions. The space met our needs and it was a good size for two of us. The kitchen had the basics for food prep and the linens were high quality. The only critique is the condo faces a 'main' road and we were awoken by a series of loud delivery and/or garbage trucks right outside the window. This was only an issue on the one weekday of our stay and the hosts provided earplugs. Overall, we had a positive experience and we'd recommend this property to others.

Perfect!
This was our first time to Telluride and Wendy and Tom made us feel like welcomed house guests. From the sweet welcome note and chocolate, to the notebook with instructuons and places to eat and see. The condo was perfect for the two of us. Very clean, comfortable and great location. Everything was seamless!! I can't say enough great things about this trip! Perfect!
We spent 5 nights at "Happy Thought." The unit was well appointed, as described and conveniently located. Access to the ski hill was roughly a 50 yard walk out the ski locker door. The unit is centrally located in Mountain Village and easily accessible to all major restaurants and the gondola to town and the market is a short 5 minute walk. The unit was quiet, bed was comfortable, and wifi of reasonable speed. For us (a couple) the unit was perfect and imagine it would work for those with 1-2 smaller children as well. The owners are very easy to contact, were flexible in checkout/checkin and personable. We will happily stay again when we travel to Telluride!
