The staff was amazing when we showed up a little early and they were able to get us into our room after driving most the day. Housekeeping was so sweet about it! Breakfast was very good the next morning!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and polite. The only issue we had was with the tv remote working properly, probably needed new batteries

Rooms were nicer than expected! Staff wasn't overly friendly and just had a box for the room keys sitting out at checkout without a person at the desk which was a little strange. Overall great hotel to stay at!

Good stay

Facility was well taken care of and staff was friendly. Our room was not ready when we got to the hotel but they appologized and got right on it, had us ready to go in less than 15 minutes. Breakfast was hot and fresh.

The hotel was very clean. I appreciate lights and plugs, including usb, on both sides of the bed. The pullout couch had enough room to be opened, and still be able to walk around it comfortably

We enjoyed how clean the bedroom portion was and how cool the ac kept it! The bathroom could use a little tlc in areas and one wall needed a good scrub. Overall we would return again!

Overall, we loved Santa's Lodge. The staff was great, it was clean, breakfast had a nice variety of choices, and the big yard was great for playing outside. The only reason i gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the pullout beds. They were terribly thin, uncomfortable and loud. If you don't need the pullouts, the rooms were fine. They're dated, but clean and comfortable. But if you need the pull-out for someone to sleep on, I'd book two rooms next time instead.

Clean hotel, nice breakfast, friendly staff. The rooms were too warm upon arrival and had to kick the ac on to cool it down. The refrigerator was also warm, which was inconvenient upon arrival. On a 90 degree day after hours in the car, that was disappointing.

The hotel was kept up great. Check in process was confusing at first because I thought I ordered a king size, but it was only by request since it was standard room? It didn’t bother me. The room itself was clean, but had a musty/stale odor even with AC kicked on especially in the bathroom. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast had a decent variety to choose from.

Friendly but Dirty

Check in staff in eveng was friendly and helpful. Room was not acceptable. Beds were messily made which made me wonder if clean. Bathroom was not clean. Trash was emptied and some linens replenished. No washcloths, no bath mat. Clump of hair on floor and hair left in tub. Asked for bathroom to be properly cleaned next day and linens replenished. Some towels left on sink counter but bathroom not cleaned. Asked again for bathroom to be cleaned next day. Again, towels left on counter, bathroom not cleaned. Towels left on 3rd day had holes in them. Stairwells were dirty, not vacuumed, and covered in spiderwebs and bugs caught in them. Evening staff left notes for day staff as to my requests for cleaning, but they were obviously ignored. I was just not comfortable for 3 nights.

Great…with a few issues

The hotel was clean. Nice large, king room. Check in staff was nice. We were in room 226. There was a strong, sewer fume odor in the bathroom that never improved. It was there when we first walked in the room and was still evident upon checkout. The toilet had a crack in the bowl. Aside these issues, we had a nice stay.

Old but clean

The property is pretty clean overall. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower. The A/C worked but definitely did not get down to what thermostat was set to. Our door didn't completely close unless pulled really hard which wasn't a problem except housekeeping didn’t get it closed one day and we came back to our door open. We did get to check in early so that was a huge bonus. I would stay here again.

People were slamming doors. The refrigerator in room 324 made a loud clicking noise and woke me several times during the night. I am a semi-light sleeper. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean.
