"We were very lucky to get a window of vacancy at this stunning property. It is more beautiful the pictures because the stunning, breath taking and sweeping views fill your soul from sunrise to sunset and even including the star gazing!. The staff are lovely and friendly, the food is delicious creatively blending Polynesian and French influences. The accommodation huts give you the feeling of being transported into Tahitian life ❤️"
"Ingrid and Haimeni were amazing hosts. They guided us to the best activities, food and adventures. Our family used the pool, kayaks, dock. The property is very new, clean and all new modern appliances etc. The kitchen is very complete. Upon arrival there was a basket for us of amazing local fruit and there were flowers placed everywhere for us. It felt very special. In the morning you see the most amazing sunrises coming over Tahiti Iti. Zero mosquitos when we were here mid-June. Safe parking is on the grounds. The 1 km road to the house is a dirt road - we had a bottom of the line rental car (Renault Kwik) and had no problems. Restaurants, markets, grocery stores, snorkeling, surfing are all less than 15 minutes away. We did a 4x4 tour across the island and saw so much more as a result. In my mind, the location is perfect for exploring the full island. Ingrid and Haimeni were very attentive to any questions we had."
"Overall a nice place to stay with a few caveats. Easy check-in with the keys on the counter and quick response by email. We stayed in Aura where two rooms have AC and one does not - was not a problem for our stay. The third room has a fan. The rooms have plenty of open shelf space for clothes. The deck overlooking the lagoon and private pool were favorites. There was a nice breeze during our stay. Bring bug spray though (as with most places on island).
It would have been nice to have hand towels and wash clothes, not just bath and beach towels. Also, some hooks in the bedroom to hang up towels or clothes. The shower has body wash and shampoo; some shelves for personal washing supplies would be helpful.
There was a lot of roof noise one particular night from what we think were birds collecting seeds from the tree overhead. Our neighbors didn't have the same foilage so this may be specific to our Villa. It bothered some of us more than others, so if you are a light sleeper, the islands of Tahiti in general can be noisy with dogs, roosters and other wildlife.
The WiFi worked well but we had to request the password. This proved difficulty since we had spotty personal service.
There were chocolates left for us at check-in which was a nice welcome.
Thank you for sharing your Villa with us."
"This place is magical. Beautifully landscaped, the decor and layout is inviting and original. The owner, Martine, was incredibly helpful with any needs we had, full of tips on what to do and proud to share her knowledge of the place. It is a tranquil oasis, interrupted only by the clucking of roaming chickens and roosters. Perfect for a relaxing get away in paradise."
Teahupoo: beachfront, the lagoon and the wave, at the foot of the mountains !
10/10 Excellent
"The property was even more beautiful than the photos! We loved listening to the waves as we were going to sleep and opening our eyes to the ocean that's a very short distance away. What a treat! The way the house was built, kept it cool during the day so the temperatures were very comfortable during our entire stay. The spacious porch facing the lagoon provided beautiful views and plenty of outdoor dining. The house was well stocked with spices, coffee and oil, which was very helpful. The hosts were great. They are the most gracious and accommodating owners we've encountered on VRBO. The coconut they prepared and provided was much appreciated as well as the delicious honey from their own bee hives. They provided a lot of helpful information about the surrounding area for hiking, biking and water sports. We were guided on a beautiful hike that we took directly from the house. We saw two waterfalls, several swimming holes, eels, fish and more! We can't put into words the beauty of these mountains. We also kayaked in the tandem daily and enjoyed viewing the corals and many brightly colored fish. We highly recommend this rental property and can't wait to return!"
"A really lovely relaxing two night stay in a beautiful location and extremely friendly and helpful owners. We would truly recommend this location for anyone considering staying here."
"We loved this lodge! It has an incredible view from the balcony. We had the entire upstairs available to us, but only needed one of the two bedrooms, the bathroom & the use of the kettle & refrigerator. We had all we needed & more! The owner is very nice & she took great care of us while we were there. Highly recommend the TeMana Lodge!"
"Very clean and new property. Light and airy. Paddleboards and kayak to get to small swimming beach were nice. Bit warm with only air conditioning in master suite."
