The Retreat
The retreat was perfect in every way the view from the front windows of the river exiting the lake with all the activity going on was in intoxicating and the whole house met our needs to be above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone who was in this area.

Oasis Beach Motel
Room clean, kitchen rather small for a family unit but the view of the lake more than made up for it!! Wish we could have stayed longer

Wairakei Resort Taupo by Accor
Overpriced and boring dinner menu. Quality so/so. Banana split $20 which was kid sized at best. Ok stay but wouldn’t eat there. $150 for two and def nothing special.

Lakeland Resort Taupo
Small issue as room felt hot and muggy. Turned out that the hot bath tap had been left slightly on probably when cleaned. Easily fixed. Staff were friendly, parking easy and the breakfast ticked all the boxes. Had an evening meal in ghe dining room. Service was excellent and a good meal with pldnty ...
