"Nice place, good airco, in the old town close to restaurants etc. Breakfast was sad (pre-packed toast, butter and jam). The city of Taranto is not very nice, a lot of boarded up homes, streets at dirt etc. There is not much to do. I thought the price of the room was high considering that city."

"Communication was horrible and did not live up to the bilingual standard. Plus they moved my family to another room last minute while my 7 month old was in a bath. Didn't even attempt to Whatsapp me. Nor did they respond fairly quickly when messaged through this app. They don't offer cleaning services as listed only the cleaning lady will do it as a favor but will charge you. Highly inconvenient over all. Was a beautiful place but lack of communication was so awful we decided to go stay...

"Wonderful stay there ! Nice room and good people ! I’ll be there again !!"

"When we arrived we were shown a room about 20 sq m. We had reserved an apartment room 55 sq m, with full kitchen. After showing them my reservation I was told the room wasn't available because they were under reservation. The whole front of the building is scaffolded and looks like it has been like this fir awhile. We had to find another place in the evening as we had food that would spoil. My advise.DO NOT STAY HERE. "

"The apartment is located in a great spot. It is close to everything. Maurizio the manager is a great person and he goes out of his way to help you. The problem is the apartment itself; entry is in very bad shape, restroom is not in the room, breakfast consists of packaged pastries that are not very fresh. Stairs to reach room are steep and difficult for elderly people. Handicapped accessibility is non existent. "

"To be fair, I am reviewing the Akropolis Hotel because that’s where I stayed. When I got to San Andrea Degli Armeni, there was no one there, but a sign there had a phone number to call. The person said to come to the Akropolis Hotel which was just a short walk. Apparently they are sister hotels and my reservation was switched but because I booked on hotels.com they staff couldn’t reach me. No big deal, as it was close by. Once I arrived, everything was great. There were a couple minor issues...

"Al momento del check in mi e' arrivata comunicazione che la mia prenotazione era stata annullata. Non ne conosco i motivi e non intendo saperlo. Ogni spiegazione era e sara' superflua, vista la giornata nera che abbiamo trascorso in questa bellissima Citta', TARANTO. Nei prossimi soggiorni non prenotero ' piu' con la Vs. agenzia. Grazie per " averci " fatto dormire in macchina. Resto in attesa del rimborso, come descritto nella Vs. Mail, nei prossimi 3 gg lavorativi."

"A real oasis in Taranto. The rooms are beautifully decorated and for breakfast you could order eggs or pancakes. The views from the seafront rooms are also lovely and staff very attentive. Hopefully in the future they make more of the roof terrace which feels like a bit of a waste at the moment. The area around the hotel isn't necessarily the nicest, but if you are only staying for a couple of nights and either will eat outside of Taranto or are happy to stay within the parade immediately in front then I couldn't recommend this hotel enough."

"Liked the convenience and location. Room nicely cleaned and serviced. Staff excellent, especially Luigi at Reception who helped us. Breakfast was acceptable but we really appreciated the provision of yoghurt and boiled eggs. No laundry in the neighborhood other than the super expensive hotel service."

Good location

"Firstly I’ll give the positives: The rooms clean and the bed comfortable. Locations good. Not so positives: Entry; I wasn’t sure how we were to gain entry as I’d received a message a couple of days before re getting there before 7pm. I replied to it but got no response. We’d planned walking from the station but had to get a taxi. It cost 20€! (5 mins) Not because it’s far but because we had to get there by 7pm. Arrive to locked door, no instructions. A neighbour told me to call so I did. They opened the door electronically, but we did panic for a few minutes. As the door opened we see stairs…thankfully we travel light because we wouldn’t have been able to drag our cases up to the 2nd floor. The stairs are very deep too. We’d booked a superior room. Nothing really wrong with the room except the word superior…it’s not. Door handle fell off which was fixed the next day, curtains coming off the rail, the bedside boxes weren’t by the bed, and they’re pretty heavy. "
