"Very nice. We were in the newer section in the back - the space worked for us. Overall the hotel is fine - we ate dinner there once. Sat on the porch which was a little cold - they have plastic curtains to close it off (to a degree) and radiant heaters. Seems like they were a bit light on staffing - saw only 2 waitstaff - so they had a hard time keeping up. We were there at the end of the season (mid April) so I need to cut them some slack. Russell is nice and peaceful, but quite small. Stayed for 3 nights which was probably one night too long."

"Great resort no gym and sauna"

"Our group of 9 adults stayed at this well equipped comfortable home for 10 nights. Every room had a double bed that perfectly suited our needs. The huge deck with drop down canvas kept us warm & sheltered outside during wet weather. The deck also provided an awesome space to share meals and enjoy the beautiful views of Tapeka point. Our hosts were nothing short of brilliant! Ahead of the cyclone they advised us that a generator was available in the event of a power cut - just awesome communications throughout. Overall we rate our stay 10/10, and highly recommend this property and its hosts. We had the best holiday with our kids thanks to this awesome home!"

"Wow what a fabulous stay! The house is more gorgeous than the pictures and the view is out of this world. Clive has thought of everything to make the stay perfect. Seriously I have never stayed in a better equipped house. The things that are often lacking like paper towels, napkins, spices, oils and such were included but also nice wooden hangers, beach towels, a blender, nice pans, ice, a sodastream!, placemats, even masks and covid tests! Really comfy beds, furniture, everything. We stayed 12 nights and then lovely Lana came to clean up and change linens after a few nights which was wonderful. I chose this spot for a significant birthday and anniversary celebration and so glad I did. It was perfect and we can’t wait to come back. Russell is a gem! Thank you Clive!"

"This place had amazing views & great location, I would recommend this place to people, except I would be telling them that the balcony/deck is quiet dangerous especially for children as balustrade is very low & wonky you wouldn’t want to lean on it & fall as is quiet a drop, also carpet should be replaced with hard flooring as it smells quiet musty! But otherwise a great place 😊"

"The location and views from this home are absolutely incredible! The home set up for us was just perfect with everything you needed to make your stay relaxed. We truly didn’t want to leave the property as we just soaked up the views into the bay, watching sailboats come and go and the crashing surf. Getting up to watch sunrise is a must! An easy walk to a beautiful beach around the corner with a floating dock. Don’t miss the walk up and along the coast head to catch sunset and birds flitting around. Russell is a short drive away with many great restaurant options and ferries to and from Paihia. We hope to be back again!!"
