My family has rented 10's of properties in the US and Europe over the past 20 years, and Bella Vista is in the top 3. If you are interested in a deeper exploration of this fascinating island, we highly recommend you stay here. The home was recently beautiful renovated and decorated, with pretty much every need met for in home meal preparation. I guarantee you will not need much else! We also highly recommend meal service offered, which will complete this amazing experience for you! P.S. the host was VERY responsive to my numerous questions, responding quickly and courteously!
We had a great stay here and the hosts definitely did their best to ensure so. They made certain we would have no issues getting to and from the house from the boat dock and were very helpful regarding which boats leave at what times from the 3 ports. The guest book was super informative with the local businesses and their hours. The house was very clean and welcoming and has lovely decorations! We never found ourselves wishing they had A, B, or C. The island gets very spotty reception so the opportunity to be away from the mainland for some disconnected R&R was so nice! If you haven’t done your research, be sure to bring lots of bug spray as the horse flies are no joke, but the hosts made sure to keep lots of entertainment in the house for when we needed a break from the outside. All in all it was a great stay and we will definitely be back!

Unforgettable Stay
Our week-long stay at the Bella Vista Cottage was an absolute delight! It is not only beautifully decorated and furnished but it is well stocked with kitchen essentials making the preparation of your "home cooked" meals a breeze. The deck overlooking the bay brought us together around morning coffee and evening desserts...and afforded front row seats to the incredible display of the July 4th fireworks. Our grandchildren loved their many bike-riding adventures around the island discovering nooks and crannies and stopping by the local ice cream shops for treats. The kayaks led to adventuring the channels and ditches leading into the harbor....and if that were not enough, the beach was just down the road and around the corner. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Thank you for your attentive care. This was truly a family vacation that we will never forget!
We enjoyed our time here immensely. The house was beautiful, clean, and well appointed. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We can't wait to return!
The Bella Vista was perfect for my family's visit to Tangier! Beautiful, comfortable, and well outfitted with all we needed for our stay - the hosts were so thoughtful and lovely throughout. I recommend it highly and will absolutely be back! Thank you so much.
The property is well maintained. It has many amenities. The host and everyone we came in contact we're gracious. This property is a truly treasure.

Unforgettable first visit to Tangier
The house was tastefully decorated, it feels like a home. It has everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to kayaks, bicycles and even beach toys and towels! The upstairs porch is lovely. We ate our meals there. So relaxing! Ken was super nice and helped us figure out ferries and transportation to the house (it was our first time at Tangier). Mary welcomed us and made us a delicious bread and jelly. She also left beautiful flowers.Everyone was super friendly. Loved our stay and we hope to go back!

My visit to Tangier Island
My stay was the first time on the island anf it was a wonderful experience! I found it to be enjoyable, relaxing and educational. The island residents were friendly and the business owners were very welcoming and helpful. I had the pleasure of meeting the mayor of the island through his kind, welcoming offer of a ride during a walk that was becoming a challenge. Our hostess was attentive and gracious to us in an outstanding manner. We could not have asked for a more pleasant visit to Tangier Island!

Out of the Ballpark!
This is our second stay at Bella Vista. Both our experiences have been stellar. This time, I brought more of my family with me, and they concur: the accommodations; the view from the upper veranda; the provision of equipment for outdoor fun--kayacks and bikes, basketball and Cornhole; a superbly outfitted kitchen, with simply lovely touches of welcome; the library; the proximity to the beach. The communication with Ken was more superb-level accommodation, including his connecting us to other tours and services on the island during our 4-day stay. AND, absolutely not to be missed--the catering option offered. Beyond yum! Tangier has gotten into my pores. I so hope to return . . . . Thank you, Ken and Family
